JP Posted Thursday at 09:17 Share Posted Thursday at 09:17 Avoid defeat here and i think its done in terms of CL. We'll go there to win the game though the confidence is sky high amongst the first 11 (+Gordon).
Displayname Posted Thursday at 09:20 Share Posted Thursday at 09:20 (edited) Checked every Villa player to see how much they have played lately. Its quite impressive how much they have been able to rotate and still keep up the good results. Rogers, Tielemann and Konsa have all been playing nearly every minutes of their 6 games in 3 weeks though, its got to take its toll doesnt it? Especially since most of them have been hard fought and important games, not like the training exercises we have been having. black_n_white Posted Thursday at 09:39 Share Posted Thursday at 09:39 Villa will go full strength, they’ve gambled heavily on getting back into the champions league next season.

They haven't gambled, remember they flogged Duran for mental money and the liabilities they took on will likely be returned at the end of the season. 54 Posted Thursday at 09:56 Share Posted Thursday at 09:56 Just had a look at their forum, and a lot of them are basically saying the same as everyone here in that they'll love a draw

Optimistic Nut Posted Thursday at 09:58 Share Posted Thursday at 09:58 Finish the season by winning the home games and getting 4+ points at Villa, Brighton & Arsenal. Gauntlet thrown down for next season.
Shays Given Tim Flowers Posted Thursday at 10:01 Share Posted Thursday at 10:01 A loss for Villa is a big problem. The pressure is on them to get a result. That will surely help us.
WilliamPS Posted Thursday at 10:04 Share Posted Thursday at 10:04 (edited) In fairness to them they have handled pressure superbly recently. Tuesday might change that of course Edited Thursday at 10:04 by WilliamPS
midds Posted Thursday at 10:04 Share Posted Thursday at 10:04 Currently 1/20 to finish top 5. Obviously that's just what the bookies think and isn't indicative of the exact probability. It'll also come right back in if we were to lose on Saturday, but right now we're looking very very secure

I dont think so, they have a big squad and I think they will just treat it like the other games.
alexf Posted Thursday at 10:24 Share Posted Thursday at 10:24 We'll be tested more defensively than we have been for awhile. Hopefully we have one more Arsenal semi-final level performances in us. But if Villa go all out and play Watkins, Rashford, Asensio, Rogers etc then I think we will hit them in the counter well. Hopefully don't pick up any injuries or suspensions as I suspect this one is gonna be feisty after the last game. Two clubs don't seem to like eachother much, which tends to happen when you become competitive rivals.

Mazzy Posted Thursday at 11:02 Share Posted Thursday at 11:02 Got a feeling about this one. Think it's going to be a bit mental. I can see a crazy 4-4. Isak hat trick.

Chicken Dancer Posted Thursday at 11:24 Share Posted Thursday at 11:24 I can see anything here tbh. Loss, draw or win all seem as likely as the other. Anything other than a defeat and it's done. A defeat just delays it by a couple of weeks. If we do lose, then City/Villa sharing the points on Tuesday and us beating Ipswich and we are essentially back to where we are now, with 2 games less to play. We're in a great position, so won't get myself too low if we do lose.
