We've not been as bad as the scoreline appears, Villa's been very lucky and had loads of help from a ref who ignores any fouls they've committed. Just one of those days.

Villa soon realised the ref wasn’t going punish them.

Nah we've fucked ourselves and got what we deserved.

Pretty much everybody miles off the pace. Not sure who emerges with any credit, Tino maybe and it's a good job Pope's been awake or it might have been six or seven by now

A game that perfectly highlights the difference in their squad to ours btw. We can only dream of making the changes they can.

Nope a game which highlights home advantage an extra days rest and a Saudi bailout. Don't over react the squad they have is borrowed and nothing special and extremely expensive.

The way they deal with ffp is short term gambles we are more pragmatic about things.

Disagree. Willock, Gordon, Miley, Krafth could have given us fresh legs. We're going to have to learn how to rotate next season being in Europe.

Apart from Gordon, it pretty much is a massive step down. We really don't have much of a squad worth rotating atm. That'll likely change this summer.
