Take it not the chin and move on, they’ve been shite today but given what they’ve done they can be given some slack.

Yeah it's all irrelevant if we snap back out of it and do the business in the next games. It's not the defeat that's annoying as we allowed ourselves a cushion in case we did. It's just such a hard watch when every player is clearly miles off it physically today. We didn't stand a chance really if Villa turned up in any capacity.

Been watching the whole match - hitting posts doesn't mean a thing, just that their strikers aren't as clinical as some depressives would have everyone believe. Our run's caught up on us a bit, fair, but Villa's not outclassed us by any means. They've had massive help from a homer of a ref, we've been given nothing, they've been sneaky and got rewards for it. Hey ho, we've been done today, we've not embarrassed ourselves though.

We've been dreadful man. It's fine, we've been playing the same squad with a tight fixture list, but 4-1 is fair and we'll hopefully be getting Howe back sooner than later.

As I said rashford is borrowed Asencio is borrowed diasi is borrowed.

Yes the players they have borrowed have boosted the squad but this was purely done because our owners gave them a bag for Duran. And all of these players are on massive wages I might add.

Sure this result sucks and in the short term they have an edge but they will have to aggressively trade to maintain it and our players have had a day off today our best players are better than villas.

Them being on loan has nothing to do with the point I was making though. I said their options of the bench are much stronger than ours. Loans or not, it is, I said a few weeks ago it’s a miracle we are this high in the league given our squad.

This is on the coaching staff. We have players capable of being rotated in, and we've chosen not to, which has lead this.

Why are Willock, Miley, Krafth, Lognstaff, even Gordon for today's game not getting starts?

Osula still getting zero minutes as well.

You can't just keep saying "go again lads"

Would be surprised to see Howe on the touchline any time soon.

We have these performances every now and then, luckily we have Ipswich next so the perfect side to get it out of the system.

Leggy and holes all over the pitch, even Martinez was cutting us open from his own box there was that muc[emoji38]h space

They've rolled the psr dice selling a player for a load of cash and then using it to strengthen the entire squad. Also the sale didn't strengthen any other club they may play. It's something we need to look at doing.

Our owners did that for them, which was nice

A game that perfectly highlights the difference in their squad to ours btw. We can only dream of making the changes they can.

Yet all week I've been seeing certain people talking about us needing two or three purples to win the league.

So so annoying. If we don't fill out this squad we are going to end up in mid table next season with Europe taking its toll.

Howay man, we've won 4 of the last 5 against them. They're a good side and this can happen unfortunately.

We beat them in our last three games, with an aggregate score of 11-2.

Hmmm, do I play this off as a clever bit of winding up where you all took the bait, hook, line and sinker?

Or do I admit that I misremembered and made a huge mistake?

Well, this is the Internet so... yeah you guys fell for yet another of my classic japes. Jokes on you and definitely not me, or this scoreline that's for sure.

It’s hard to really question when they’ve unchanged winning sides since they’ve taken over and it’s worked well for us.

How when we lose and lose badly do we get called bedwetters?

Are we not allowed to voice frustration at the performances.

We've been shocking today and never really sorted the problems out after halftime.

I think people will just say something like...

I guess.

This isn't the end of the world. We are still in a great place to qualify for the Champions League. But there are long standing issues to address in the summer.

Im not saying you I’m saying it’s fair enough to say they’ve been shite today but in the context of the recent run and cup win I’d say write it off as one of those days. It’s frustrating but sometimes you get turned over.

We’ll bounce back.
