bigfella Posted yesterday at 17:15 Share Posted yesterday at 17:15 Can't understand why a draw wouldn't be good from this situation, got to be a confidence boost going in to the last game
Billy Warthog Posted yesterday at 17:15 Share Posted yesterday at 17:15 One slight positive is that at least the GD didn't take a battering. (Assuming we don't completely fold in the next few mins.)
mighty__mag Posted yesterday at 17:15 Share Posted yesterday at 17:15 Eddie prioritising Gordon unbalances the team, but at least it keeps him happy.
NUFCDoog Posted yesterday at 17:15 Share Posted yesterday at 17:15 Equaliser is pretty pointless now like in the grand scheme of things, changes nothing for next week. Wouod still he nice to get a draw obv, but does nothing for what happens if we don't win next week. Everton isn't a gimme, I csnt believe how many people are so confident about it. Oregon_Geordie Posted yesterday at 17:15 Share Posted yesterday at 17:15 One thing I take from this. I was completely in the Gordon over Barnes camp. But fuck that. I'd even flog Gordon if he shows this effort. The base line from his was workrate but that has gone now.
JigsawGoesToPieces Posted yesterday at 17:16 Share Posted yesterday at 17:16 If Pickford has a game like Reya has had today, were fucked
Conjo Posted yesterday at 17:16 Share Posted yesterday at 17:16 Assuming he's not night and day difference in training compared to in a match, I don't understand how Howe can watch Osula and prefer a static injured Isak or crusty old Wilson ahead of him. But we set up like this in the second half way too often for my liking. Sorry to sound a bit like an Eddie lover, but all the time ? I mean we are battling for second, have collected 22 of the last 27 points. And we're one of the best at coming from behind, all the time isn't really true. It does happen in some games mind, i agree. Edited yesterday at 17:20 by Bimpy474

Not like the old days of going away to Arsenal where they were always heavy favourites and we were shit. They were there for the taking and after a great first half. This second half showing in a massive game has been tame as fuck. And that’s putting it politely. But we don't miss Isak apparently.

Build up play has been good overall. "Final ball" here has been more defined as the one where we lose it than the one where we put something dangerous in, I reckon. Arsenal been fairly comfortable unfortunately Edited yesterday at 17:17 by OpenC

andycap Posted yesterday at 17:18 Share Posted yesterday at 17:18 Brings osula on up top then switches gordon with him you couldn't make it up. Sacrificing strength and height for a weak striker. Then Willock for Barnes I don't get it we all know Barnes has a goal in him.

A home tie against a mid table team that’s flirted around the relegation zone all season is about as good as you’re going to get. If we cant beat them then we don’t deserve it. If we turn up as fans and the players do as they’ve done in most of the big moments this year we’ll be absolutely fine.
