Newcastle United vs. Everton: 25/05/25 @ 16:00 (TV tbc)

The problem with playing Isak and even Joelinton or Trippier if there's a slim chance they can play, is how much will they be able to give if they aren't 100%?

We know we can carry Isak as we have done it for weeks and weeks now but maybe anymore would be too risky.

Also the possibility one or all breakdown early in the game and then you break rhythm but also waste subs for later. Will be interesting how much Eddie is willing to risk or if he prefers lesser players who can give him 100%.

I think Isak will play even if we get 60 mins out of him. I’d guess the plan will be heap pressure on Everton early and try and get an early lead which is where Isak will come in handy whether it’s a pen or whatever.

No idea where this thing with Everton has come from, and it's from people in both fanbases as well. I'm almost convinced it's solely an online thing; I've been to Goodison twice in the last 3 seasons and never had anything but good craic with Evertonians down there, likewise when my Everton mate has come up here.

The Pickford thing and Gordon signing for us won't have helped much, admittedly.

Totally agree it’s almost solely an online thing, the blue scousers I met in my time in the RAF were all sound as fuck

Wolves game vs Palace is quite big, if they fail to win then Everton are guaranteed 13th and can’t move lower or higher.

They then will have zero motivation for this game, with their first choice centre backs out and 39 year old Ashley young playing his last game.

Almost certainly.

I reckon us, Liverpool and Forest games, slight worry they could go with Man U - Villa though or Man City.  I can't go sunday so really hope we are picked.

I'm generally optimistic but I dreamt that we lost this 12-1. I was awoken from this torment by my lass telling me I was talking in my sleep. Only the dream Gods know what I was going through.

I mean, aye, it would be better if they had absolutely zero motivation in terms of league finish, but I’m not sure how much motivation it is to a group of players whether they finish 13th or 14th?

We’re 100% a pick like. Sky will lap up the celebrations or (God forbid) the alternative if that happens.

We'll find a way to make this way more nerve wrecking than it has to be.

Reckon we'll match Chelsea and Villas respective results on the day and qualify on GD.

I'm not so sure. We're pretty good in the big games, particularly on our own patch.

If we can’t attack Young for 45 mins and get him sent off, we’re doing something wrong.

Didn’t realise till I looked at table, when we win on Sunday, we’ll have 2nd most wins in league :D

Everton win 1-12. Chelsea win 1-0. Up steps Rasmus Hojlund with a brace to sink Villa.

Newcastle qualify for the Champions League. The Geordie's rejoice. "Rasmus! Rasmus! Rasmus!"
