Getsgoodfromthegetgo
Just treated myself to my first Wissa YouTube highlights compilation and there's a goal where he chases down a lost cause and nicks it off the keeper. IM FULLY IN LADS

Getsgoodfromthegetgo
Also I think we've got the better Brentford forward. 9 of Mbeumo's goals were pens, fingers crossed this works out as well as that other penalty merchant Ronaldo's second stint at Glazer FC Edited August 8, 2025 by Getsgoodfromthegetgo
Mazzy
Unpopular opinion? This is the level of signing we should've been going for from the start. Hindsight perhaps has a big influence on that statement but I think it's certainly true.
Big Geordie
Good - hope this one comes off. Still need 'Isak' replacement, though.

Hhtoon
Would be happy at this. Stats not far off Isak last year. With the players around him hopefully he'll thrive. We'll have best part of £100m to spend elsewhere (assuming Isak buggers off)

If they were the same age we'd have far more competition to sign him.

Well the harm is exactly what's happened up to this point, we've taken too long to do anything. If Wissa was interested he could've been halfway to Saudi Arabia last week and we'd have missed out on another player.

Hindsight perhaps has a big influence on that statement but I think it's certainly true. Hard disagree. We’re bringing in an improvement on a squad player. Considering the makeup of our squad, the PSR room we have/had this summer and the fact we have CL as an additional reason for players possibly being interested in joining our project, it was the right decision to aim high and build for the future as well, by targeting the best young, up and coming players we could hope to attract. We’ve been done dirty on a few deals, but next time I’d do exactly the same. In fact, I hope we step up our recruitment in the age category below, aiming to find and recruit the best under 21’s in the below 20m bracket, like we went for Joao Pedro and Ekitike a couple of years ago before they became >60m players. All the others were an Isak replacement because they knew this was coming
STM
I like this signing. Im sure im not alone in this, but I keep wanting to blame to club for something around this signing and cant figure out what it is. Its not that hes a bad signing, its not because hes an older player, its not because its taken a while because the delay has been at the Brentford end. I think ive got so much disdain for the clubs recruitment right now that even the good signings annoy me. Edited August 8, 2025 by STM

It's been a tough summer, just let me imagine Wissa knocking in 25 goals after learning the Howe press and having some of Joelintons all natural PEDs and Mbeumo singlehandedly setting Froggys lot back 5 years , you know stuff like leaving games early with members of the youth team in tow and telling everyone the managers a bellend etc
