On the fee; why do we all care so much?

 

Literally not our money and over a 4 year deal its £13.75m to PSR calculation per year, compared to say £10m to PSR calculation per year had we paid £40m which everyone would've found palatable.

Because it's PSR headroom on a player who will not appreciate. From a financial point of view these deal is awful it's likely annual cost is more than Isaks was

It's a mental fee and financially awful deal in isolation but looking at the short term footballing side of things we're backed into a situation where we also need to mitigate risk for the season ahead, so we're buying somebody at peak of their powers age wise off the back of a 19 goal PL season.

He's a striker from a mid-table team who scored as many non-penalty goals as A. Isak last season.

Your bang on, the issue is the predicament was very much self created, why did we wait until deadline day to replace Callum Wilson, it's just poor work all around.

I like Wissa but this is a fitting indictment on our recruitment and sporting structure this window.
