Getting the same treatment Hall did during his first season. Very few minutes and no opportunity to play into form.

Whether that was a Howe masterstroke or delaying our opportunity to have a player on the pitch to improve us is up for debate.

Had we played him up front every match since he was fit again, would we have more or less points? I think I know the answer to that.

He is our worst ever signing.

Without a doubt. Elanga probably number 2 as well given cost and return. Shameful that they both arrived in the same window at a cost of well over £100m.

Wolt could make a case for the top 3 as well, given the price and his lack of suitability to us [emoji38]

Not only is he the worst signing in our history, he's staking a claim to also be one of the stupidest.

Was it ever confirmed if he liked Brobbey's picture or was it a wind up?

What an awful signing he's proved to be - the fact he's not getting picked shows he's can't even be performing in training.

Tbf if not for Woltemade’s goals early season we’d probably be fighting relegation.

Agree, he still look a terrible signing currently.

He's the first of the summer signings I've lost my patience with.

I'll always back a player who tries, even if it doesn't work out at first, but he seems as thick as fuck.

We paid £50 million for a £30 million player to hit the ground running and he kiboshed it by being unprofessional. Now he's clearly completely unable to read the room with recent post-match gestures.

Howe might think he can get a tune out of him and peddle him the summer after next, but I'd be very tempted to cut our losses at this point.

It's still Marcelino for me in the top spot, Cost £5.8m in 1999 which is about £40m in today's money (football inflation)  and made 20 appearances in 4 years because of "injuries" one of which was a broken fingernail iirc [emoji38] Going to take a lot to top that for me

Back then missing on one signing didn’t financially impact you for 4 years or so though

Can't count anything sold to Saudi in our accounting, so really only worth doing just to cut all losses.

It's profit that doesn't count isn't it?

So to sell him for the remaining book value we have left, should be fine, I would have thought.
