In fairness I doubt the club expected Isak to go on strike and cause a lot of this mess. You are now talking about 2 different lists. One they’ve probably hoped they wouldnt have to make. Theres very few strikers that come close to Isak

We started shopping in waitrose but some of the items we wanted were already taken, we are still in waitrose and theres still some quality stuff on the shelves but we can always nip to Tesco before is closes, in fact weve already reserved Ramsdale and Wissa from Tesco so we need to nip there anyway.

 

What we dont want to do is give up entirely and stop by the eastern European mini mart on the way hope, because if we do that we'll never know if what weve bought is any good.

 

Weve still got a large shopping list, so we need to get a wriggle on.

Pedro and Delap were 100% supposed to be backups, and in Pedros case, a number 10.

Well i spoke to somebody involved regarding one of them and 1 who hasn't been in the press yet. 

 

Why do you think we got Elanga? Long standing interest where we had tried to get the deal done, where ground work was put in and we knew he wanted to come here and we had solidified that. Just ringing round like we seem to be doing from a list 2 years old doesnt get the job done. If anything its more likely to make our players want to leave than other players want to sign

For one year aye, so we can bed in Isak's replacement without going backwards in terms of quality on the pitch in a crucial season upcoming. That would be the sensible thing to do if it doesn't prevent us from strengthening central midfield and defense.

I know, direct from various people, how much work goes into all of this. It’s disheartening when deals don’t come off (absolutely), but it’s even more disheartening when you read constant negativity from people who haven’t got a fucking clue towards people who work hard and only want what’s best for the club.
