Leipzig might be understandably trying to get them closer to our offer. Play hardball with the reds just when they thought they had sealed the deal.

Don't believe it, but if he's gone to Man United for lower wages its not that outlandish because they can offer a better project because of the restraints/lack of restraints on certain clubs

If Chelsea, Man City or Blackburn were offering higher wages but no prospect of ever challenging at the top, players would have been much less likely to turn Man United and co down and go there. Wages + project is probably the key.

In one way we are far ahead. At the same time Man Utd have a bigger chance of winning the league in the next 5 years than us.. We just can't do it with the current rules in place. They keep messing it up, but it's atleast possible for them as long as they can spend 200m+ every single year. Unlikely, but still possible.

Can't speak for the majority but my 2 older brothers are Man U fans and they are being insufferable pricks about it

And what's worse is that our summer window has been so tragic I have nowt to say in return

you should send them clips of the Newcastle double over them and their cup final loss.

Not accepted Man Us yet - utter joke. I will laugh so hard if it falls through and he is stuck at Leipzig

Not sure how true it is but apparently they only paid £13 million each up front for Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo

Only us, in the most desperate of situations, we bid our club record and the fee is highest, acceptable and yet, even tho the player likes us, he just likes Man United more. And Man United can casually negotiate this to conclusion.

As frustrating as it is, our fan base is a fraction of Man U's, a we probably barely register on the continent. It shouldn't come as a surprise that top players will insist on them over us more often than not.

They did?

Yep - Sesko is the one saying no.

Utd will be forced to match our offer in the end, the Red Bull clubs have proven over the years very adept at getting every penny possible when selling outside of their group.

the problem is now if Man Utd pull out and Sesko agent told us he wants to come now, should we go ahead? I really don’t want to.

I have no qualms - the reporting has been that he was happy to join us as well, but for whatever reason Manchester was his first choice.

It's the Owen situation I'd be wary of where they had no real interest full stop.

How many days are we beyond the 'decision within 24 hours' deadline? That was Saturday right?

I'm kinda glad this saga is over from our perspective and it's Man Utds problem now. This has been the most tedious saga of all the tedious sagas in tedious sagaland
