Wolfcastle Posted August 6, 2025 Share Posted August 6, 2025 (edited) Don't believe it, but if he's gone to Man United for lower wages its not that outlandish because they can offer a better project because of the restraints/lack of restraints on certain clubs If Chelsea, Man City or Blackburn were offering higher wages but no prospect of ever challenging at the top, players would have been much less likely to turn Man United and co down and go there. We just can't do it with the current rules in place. They keep messing it up, but it's atleast possible for them as long as they can spend 200m+ every single year. Unlikely, but still possible. I really don’t want to. I have no qualms - the reporting has been that he was happy to join us as well, but for whatever reason Manchester was his first choice.
