something Villa had last season I think would be great:

Young Boys, Bayern, Bologna, Brugge, Leipzig, Juventus, Monaco,Celtic, they beat Bayern at home ad Leipzig away which were their two biggest/hardest wins.

 

they managed to get 5/1/2 record vs above 8 clubs, that got them straight to last 16 on 7th place finish, then beat Brugge with ease in last 16 with 3-1 and 3-0 wins despite they lost to them in league stage,  and exited vs PSG in a quite close tie in the end. decent run overall given they havent been in CL for 30+ years.

would love something similar for us as 2 years ago it was all over for us in December.

Almaty are shite like. Whilst it would be a monumental ball ache to play them away, it should still really result in three points. Celtic not scoring against them in 210 minutes was borderline disgraceful.

Away games against rural minnows often don't go as planned. You should see some of the shit that goes down in CONCACAF.

 

For sure it's an easy win on paper, but once you get out onto the frozen steppe and start playing on a field full of potholes with a hill in one corner and a referee who costs $75 to bribe it becomes a whole different picture.
