Very pleased with that debut. Great goal obviously but showed alot of glimpses of what's hes going to bring.

Also quicker across the ground than I expected for a 6'6 lad.

My favorite part was watching him constantly point to his feet asking for the midfielders to play it into him. It's a part of our attack we've sorely been missing. For all of Isaks qualities, he was so weak with his back to goal and we always struggled to get the ball to stick with our front 3.

Think hes going to be a star when he gets fully acclimated. Just hope wissa isn't too bad so he has time to adjust properly

He needs to hit the gym and cardio. Nice start for him and the goal was a major plus. Such a pity that Wissa is injured, we’re going to have to carefully manage his minutes until he’s up to speed.

They said the same thing about Isak, but that would have ruined him. Woltermade could probably benefit from it more than Isak (as Isak was so much about being pacey and agile), but not everyone is supposed to be a strong guy up top. There are compromises to it. That's what broke Lukaku in the end. You need to make sure that it's actually beneficial, and that it's the right amount.

I think the cardio comment is referring to his stamina than any extra weights work tbh. Granted it was his first game I'm sure he'll be fine.

I'm sure all professional players work on that to some degree.

Is sort of funny how after all that talk and expectation that he's the big man with the great touch who isn't that great in the air, he still just went and scored with a header. I was a bit shocked when it went in, it didn't feel like that threatening a position, so it was a very good finish.

For someone supposedly not good in the air, Im sure on the YT clips all of his (3 I think including today) headed goals have been bullets.

I was shocked too. Was expecting it to flash wide as he was stretching to get his head round it. Great movement and a great header.

He's not Jan Koller FFS, watch his game, most of his qualities would be taken away if he was not as slight of build. Cardio I don't disagree with but this is his first game in the premier league after playing 2 games in a short space of time.

Eddie will sort it out

Thought he did really well but was pretty isolated.

Was surprised that Joelinton was much further forward when he dropped deeper.  Looks like we could be more dynamic going forward with him in the team.

Haven’t seen the game or the goal, but just listening to Eddies post match press conference and has me thinking how much I’d love him to be my boss :smitten:

He just says the right things to elicit 100% loyalty and effort and motivation.

Especially loved how he said Woltemade is “a humble guy who really wants to be here”. That’s as close to a dig as our manager will ever go, but yeah, fuck you Alex. We’ll see you on our way up and your way down.

This is what I envisage when Woltemade plays. A very fluid attack and almost no CF just 3 forward men kinda switching and swapping and being a general nightmare to man mark.

I don't really foresee old Saint Nick ad a wide man cutting in but him perhaps dropping deep as the wide men kinda attack from wide and run in behind.

Gonna be really interesting. I think once he beds in we're gonna see some real top level play like.

Howe has said he’s a really humble person and it’s easy to see why. Comes across as a sound bloke, proper chilled as well.

Yes, very humble and likable guy. So want it to happen for him here. When he 1st arrived with his mum and dad, that touched me. Comes across as very grounded. Bless him
