Osula isnt ready or ever going to be possibly and we have loads of games before we might get wissa back.

 

Its shit but the lad isn't Howe fit to go again and again push him too much and we back to no fit strikers.

There has been zero reports that his fitness has major issues other then some cramp after the last game, and Howe has this weird image of Gordon running behind defenders with his pace as a striker which hardly ever happened aside from rare occasions (city last year and the villa sending off this year) my guess is he thought he can caught Barcelona's high line off with starting Gordon up top;

Howe said before KO on TNT that Nick went off with cramp and that came into his thinking.

This lad’s made for us. He’s come in and looked like he’s played for us for years in the few minutes he’s had so far. Very exciting although I haven’t figured out exactly how we can get him and Wissa on the pitch yet

I am sure i am going to love him can see where his link up play and number 10 style work make him an asset but with us playing 1 up top he's playing very deep for how we normally play. 

 

Wissa and him together will be interesting to see but we need the rotation so maybe not destined to be a thing that often.

It was 100% tactical, they play a high line and enjoy dominating possession.  Sorry but this guy playing as a number 9 is not suited to that.

Pity we were too gassed and Barca too good for him to see much of the ball, even with him dropping deep.

He did well with what he was given, but I would normally hope us to involve him more in 30 minutes of game time. He had under 10 touches.

I'm not sure. His game is as much about  dropping off and getting balls into feet and the linking play. This with Gordon and Elanga running in behind could still have exploited the Barca highline.

Our goal came from him dropping deep to link with Bruno, who then played it outwide to Murphy into space. Cross then has no CBs and Gordon scores.

 

Should’ve been starting with Gordon LW and when we were on it first half could’ve had a better chance of capitalising then play to hold on in 2nd half. Was a mistake to not play him and it can be ok to criticise Howe and still back him and it not be deemed “Howe needs sacking”.

If I'm Elanga/Gordon/tonali I'm playing it into feet and running close but ahead of him. 

 

His touch is elite and his brain is fantastic.

 

We need to learn to play for him and he'll be an absolute weapon.
