I don't like Gordon's method. It feels like 50-50 if he's gonna score because he doesn't look at the keeper or ever change his mind. So if the keeper guesses right, like Pickford did last year then there is a good chance they save it.

Given his mental strength this is probably the best method Gordon can adopt.

Obviously Gordon is the first choice kicker mainly due to squad seniority. I believe Nick would be promoted to first choice a few months later.

We'll not mention the two snatches from inside the six yard area.

He hit the bar (instant to react) and the defender made a great block (from NW’s blind side). Feel free  to mention, relevant to the getting in the right positions topic.

Rhythm is a dancer
Big Nick is the answer
You cant beat him in the air

You cant get if off him
Making goals and scoring
You can see him everywhere

Woah, Voltemade.

Woah, you can see him everywhere.

Woah, Voltemade.

Woah, woah woah.

Love the fact any quality song and lyrics will get as zero traction with our single syllable song Makina singers.

It's definitely not a concern because he's new to the league and, as you say, it's good that he's in those positions. You've got to be scoring that second one though imo; that's the difference between what we have and what we've lost.

I think he's class. Just eager to him scoring from open play with his feet (on purpose).

Agreed - the run-up is fucking horrible, he telegraphs where it’s going

If it becomes a consistent issue then it’s something to work on (if snatching, or trying too hard to place, shutting his eyes and hoping for the best, or otherwise messing up …). But those kinds of misses happen to everyone, search ‘what we’ve lost’s’ name and close misses for example.

I rate him, interesting you mention shutting his eyes as a joke but I have noticed he has a genuine tick with his blinking and eyes and I believe its's connected to a mental issue of some form. If you notice him on the pitch he has a tick, he blinks a lot, and heavily. It doesn't affect his game but he's got something. Just keep an eye on him during a game, he is blinking heavily, a lot, both eyes, LONG blinks.

You don't think he meant his goal vs. Union?!

Sorry to derail the convo, this is about Large NICHOLAS after all, but please just hear me out, look at this for 10 seconds and tell me I'm wrong. I have made the video so it captures the moment (there are many)

He’ll continue to improve as he gets used to the premier league and the fitness required. I imagine they’ll also have him on a strength programme which will make a big difference too.

He looks like he’s already getting in the box more and after dropping passes off turning and belting for the box. Howe and Jones will really hone his skills.

What I also like is after all the cloak and daggers toys out of the pram Isak nonsense this lad has come in and is a breath of fresh. Seems like a really nice lad and a warm character and really enjoys playing here. Isak always seemed like a bit of a cold fish.

I think we all are, but I feel like his lack of opportunities to do so speaks to a larger issue overall when it comes to creating chances.

I'm sure it will come good, but the fact he's only had 8 shots is telling me that those behind him are not doing a good enough job at the moment.

I have no idea why but this post has cracked me up a lot more than it should've.

I was actually talking about Gordon. I love Big Nick, he doesn't have a blinking tick. (not that it is an issue, I really like Gordon and often defend him)
