What’s surprised me most about him is how aggressive he is. I thought he’d be quite subdued given his relaxed personality and joining a new club.

 

But he’s not scared of doing the dirty work and has that aggression only top players have.

I was getting proper agitated in the lead-up to the penalty, first it looked like he and Murphy were discussing who was going to take it (surely you work out your penalty takers beforehand??) then he did the little stuttering run up which I hate....and then he just thumped it into the top corner 😂

He should be the main penalty taker. The main objective is for him to end the season with more goals than Isak. Has to be done.

With his current game, we're getting more than goals from him. He was brilliant, some of his passing and laying off brings other players into the game. As his influence has increased against Arsenal and Forest you begin to see the opposition centre backs try and knock him about - he has gave a bit back which just goes to show his desire. 

 

Yet to see him open up and go on a mazy run, but in tight spaces on the pitch he can make things happen. Nice to see him alert to the Morato error, although he managed to recover and block. The penalty looked like it had gone over on the TV, but you just don't save those. 

 

What a great start and be nice with Wissa back to not put as much of a burden on him to do it alone.

Only downside for me is everything seems played into him with his back towards goal.

 

Looking forward to seeing what he is like once he gets a chance to run onto or with the ball at his feet.

Exactly like Bruno, does he have an all-round game that makes him absolutely world-level elite? Probably not.

He does have some attributes (mainly close control) that fall into that category.

 

However, like Bruno, his mentality appears to be ‘it’. And that is will what will elevate him to the very top.

Aye this was me too. Really thought he'd miss it with all that craic. Was delightful though. Starting to really like this kid.

Immediately went to get the ball for the pen, ne fucking about. Showing a real competitive personality.

 

We'll get better at using him in these types of games. Howe will teach the midfield specific movements to open up better passing lanes into him, we'll figure out some more dynamic rotations etc. Howe's mentioned that we haven't really been training loads so what we'll be seeing now is much more learning on the fly.

 

Closed a ball down with very decent speed not long before he went off which is a good sign he's getting there with his fitness. A few around me surprised at how quickly he got across the pitch.
