Out of all the ST signings this summer, I think we totally lucked out with big Nick. If he doesn't score, he's still super involved in the game. Watching Ekitike or Sesko, etc., if they don't score, they pretty much offer nothing. They just disappear in games. Can put Isak in that category also when he played for us, ghosted alot of games for us.

Disagree on Ekitike like, he looks absolutely quality. I'd have him over all the strikers that moved in the summer

Have you watched Ekitike? Just a really bitter post.

We’ve massively fallen on our feet with Woltemade, agreed.

When I watched their highlights in the summer I thought he and Woltemade's "tape" looked head and shoulders above the other strikers signed in the PL.

That has also come to the fore in reality, they both look much better than the others that were signed for big money.

Ekitike is absolutely class, as is Woltemade. They’re both ridiculously talented. Don’t have a strong feeling either way about who would be better for us. Ekitike is very dynamic and clinical, Woltemade has phenomenal hold up play married with top class distribution and vision. Nevertheless, fuck Ekitike, the little shit. His attitude will never be as good as Nick’s and that might be the deciding factor

Yeah thought Ekitike looked great from the highlights when we were linked. His finishing last year was quite inefficient, but that's just one year and apart from that you could see a lot of similarities with Isak but more physical presence, seemed much better going shoulder to shoulder and winning aerials. Looked to try and impose himself on games a little more, though obviosuly highlights always make someone look good.

Look at it this way, the better Ekitike is, the bigger problems Liverpool have with Isak. They cant play 2 upfront and one out wide will offend the other. Someone is always going to be unhappy.

Ekitike would have evidently been an upgrade on Voldemort, but imagine having option of Woldemade linking up with him?

Might have to consider using the  råtta‘s name again. All this Voldemort and Woldemade in the same post stuff is making me spell check/doubt what I know.
Made worse by the fact I visited/stayed in Waldemohr in September (which I, to everyone’s amusement, mistakenly called Voldemort). It’s near Jägersburg (which I kept calling Jägerbomb) and not far from Homburg (hat not Keegan) 🤷‍♂️

I watched him, and I watched him yesterday too, and besides the offside goal and the cute flick to Macca, he didn't do anything, and the game stats prove it. I'm not bitter at all; my Liverpool friends agree that he's currently better than Isak, but the game just passes him by at times. I saw that yesterday too.

He has had many better games this season. Everyone has off games. For instance against Man Utd he came in for Isak in the second half, and then created a lot for them. They looked like a different team after he came on.

The suggestion about Wolte's fitness is too simplistic. It's better than anyone thinks. His lanky build and his movement style might lead you to believe he's tired. But I don't see it that way. Nick is very good at gauging his own abilities and managing his energy expenditure.

Today, he would have been the only player in the second half who could have created a moment of brilliance. As a coach, I would have instructed him to stay in the box from the 60th minute onward and wait for that one perfect opportunity.

Can only imagine his performance data in training this week suggested he needed a rest and it was always a plan to change him early

Which case, it makes it even more baffling how we approached the first half with the low intensity. Be better coming off the bench, where we're either in front and need ball possession, or chasing a goal and opposition pinned back.

I am sure he will only get better and bulid on his start with us but..

1) for someone who is more of a 10 than a 9 he's yet to have a single assist with us, quite often he can turn and put of the wingers through but he takes too much time.

2) for a giant of a striker he dosn't try much to win aerial duals, i noticed we stopped trying to kick it long to him.

Hopefully these are things Eddie and the team will be able to work with him on going forward.
