One win up here in the league I think but always had good to say about us.

Always had the impression he would love to have managed us one day. Obviously that day has passed now but he's always showed so much respect to our club, and Sir Bobby

Ist have been his first or second game up here where they ended up with 9 men after making 3 subs at half time then getting some second half injuries.

Kluivert header cup game maybe

Aye Glen Johnson in goal too

Hard to call this one, not seen anything of Benfica to make an informed prediction.

Huge game though as I have no faith in us picking up points away from home. Just hope the crowd is bang up for it and that the intensity we’ve missed a lot of times this season is back.

We're at home, aren't we?

Edit - Ignore me, totally misread your post

Didn’t look like great shakes against Chelsea albeit were decent on the ball as you’d expect.

One thing I've noticed about Benfica is there's a lot of red cards in their games, including their run in, in May there's been 11 in 24 games. Still a decent side and it won't be an easy game like the last one but we should absolutely be winning this at home.

A Mourinho team, likely to park the bus away from home in a low block so Murphy and Barnes have to start this one for me, I'd give Big Joe a rest too, hes been our weak link in that midfield 3 but still has a big job to do over the coming weeks with the schedule looking relentless. I wish we had more options to rotate the wing backs too as relying on the old guard of Burn and Trippier to play 3 times a week is going to bite us at some point, maybe Krafth can step in and give at least one of them a rest?

Pope

Trippier

Schar

Botman

Burn

Bruno

Tonali

Miley

Murphy

Woltemade

Gordon

Ramsdale, Krafth, Thiaw, Ramsey, Willock, Joelinton, Elanga, Barnes, Osula

Feel like as well as Thiaw has done, Fab deserves a game back in the team for this. A little rest for Thiaw wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world with such a packed fixture list coming up.

Joelinton clearly needs a break too and we were much better with Miley on Saturday.

These are unbeaten in the league? How did their last managed get sacked? Brutal.

It's really only games against Porto and Sporting that count, as well as European matches. No credit is given for beating anyone else.

Not winning the league is a sackable offence.

These are a poor European side. At home, we should be winning. This and Bilbao game really ought to be two wins, then pressure vastly off for rest off games with the points on board.

Multiple changes needed, both for fitness but also to tell players their positions are not safe. Would give Ramsdale a game too as where we can, need to keep him match ready.

Ramsdale: Trippier, Schar, Botman, Burn: Tonali, Bruno G, Ramsey: Barnes, Wolte, Murphy

Ideally 2 up by 60 mark so Trippier, Tonali and Bruno can all get a reasonable rest.

Didn't he get hooked this season though, Jose only recently got sacked in Turkey?
