AyeDubbleYoo
It’s hard to assess us at the moment, partly because it’s so frustrating. We’re trying and in some ways our performances aren’t ‘that’ bad. But then we also show a fundamental lack of quality from so many players making mistakes, playing tentatively, miscontrolling and missing passes. I’m starting to think that we need so many players to be playing above their level to be a top team. Otherwise we sadly just aren’t one. I like nearly all of our players but we might need a sizeable overhaul to really be confident of beating these poor teams that we ‘should’ be beating. jemo96
Doubt we’ll do any signings in January either, maybe a loan. A few injuries and it kills the team.
TheBrownBottle
Just now, Yorkie said: Because it's unreasonable on the club's part that we should be affected by losing our absolutely crucial centre-forward? Of course it was going to have a massive impact. No matter who we signed, we'd be worse off. If you’ve spent three quarters of a billion the difference between being decent and being shite is one player - then yes, you absolutely are 100% at fault. But again, I don’t think that’s what is happening here.
Kid Icarus
I just want the season to end tbh, proper hated last summer and most of this season. I think we'll get there, but the getting there is painful. Ramsdale: 5 Miley: 7 Thiaw: 6.5 Schär: 5.5 Hall: 8.5 Tonali: 5.5 Bruno: 6 Ramsey: 4 Murphy: 5 Woltemade: 5 Gordon:

El Prontonise
Saw a bit of the 2nd half, we looked shite and toothless against their kids. Pressure's building on the side massively with these results.
Sima
He’s utterly wedded to playing one man up front no matter how the game is playing out on the pitch. Give the opposition something to think about. It’s a piece of piss for them if you don’t change formation. Ever. MagMal
It is at the point now where I am classing this as a transitional season, we have gone from a hard pressing side to one that is trying to play possession football but doesn't know how or has the players for it. Hopefully we don't transition into a permanent shit team. The players look like they have no confidence and there is no spark about them, half of that is down to the rat throwing his team mates under the bus and there is a lot of them that don't look happy. Couldn't have hurt.

Agree, Created the chances, more than enough to win the game. Its just one of those seasons. Frustrating as owt and league wise, after tonight, is a write off. Bring a cup home again and I'll be content. Edited December 26, 2025 by Drewboy74

Which is odd as we had success when Isak and Wilson played up top together (granted only a few games). I think Wolt and Wissa would be a frightening front 2. I would love it if we played 3-5-2 in our next game
MagPar
More absolute shite. If we dont beat Burnley convincingly then questions about the manager need asked, unless there are plans afoot for January signings, in which case he gets more time. We've lost the thing that broke games open and the player that raised everybody else's game simply by being there. Flip side to that, was Isak just the elastoplast over a broken team that’s now being exposed?
black_n_white
The damming thing I noticed from tonight was the fact Wissa came on and barely touched the ball.
robbo_11
Frustration on another level that one. You could see we weren't going to score and they offered next to nothing, a half chance from Bruno losing the ball and then Hall switching off Dalot. Gordon - just doesn't do it enough. End product is poor, penalty goals aside he isn't contributing enough to displace Barnes for me. Ramsey - switched off Dorgu at the set piece, that stutter on the edge of the box and then aimless passing. Can you justify buying him? Murphy - he can deliver a ball, but we don't have anyone to stick it in so he becomes null. We need to invest in January, but given last summer I'd be worried who they bring in. Oceanic Whitetip
Need to fuck off the cups and CL ASAP and fucking concentrate on staying in the league. Maybe then we can go back to high pressing football that we did so well and not sit fucking back. Howe is deliberately holding the players back to avoid suffering the same level of injury crisis the last CL season.
