Manchester United 1-0 Newcastle United (26/12/25) | post-match from pg. 54

Recommended Posts

Early on, in the second half, it was so obvious we were in control but lacking anything to score. Subs were waaaaaay too late. Eddie needs to see the opportunities and jump on them. Wissa looked positive for the first 10 he was on. Then just got bypassed over and over.

Just more of the same, it's just utter pigshit more often than not. No threat, no chances, no heart, no guts, no confidence, no idea and the weekly shocking defending or goalkeeping.

I'm not surprised at all at this point, I've seen it so often that I just expect it now. Fucking rank away from home yet again. Misguided loyalty to Gordon yet again, same mistakes yet again. It's not bad luck if it happens every single fucking time

Played pretty well second half, but ultimately it's another toothless showing on the road.

The attacking patterns are absolutely non-existent at the moment.

See I don't get this at all them retreating into a defensive formation and going break us down and yet we done nowt all half lammens had his pink out most of the half.

How does that saying go?

"The definition of insanity is doing the same thing again and again and expecting a different result"

Something like that, I think.

Things need to change. Bafflingly, nothing is. Week on week.

I love Eddie for all he's done, and he's still got a lot of credit in the bank, but I'm starting to lose my patience.

"Didn't have a clue how to attack."

 but, what?

This is going to be conflated with me going all in defensive on the manager. I'm not. We should get a result here. But a lot of this stuff just isn't true.

If we do it will be another physical beast who can run all day but won't be able to  unlock a defence

We need a statement signing - someone who can walk into this team - though on current form that won't be hard.

We continue to make poor sides look good.  Joelinton is finished.  Schar is finished as a first choice.

Out of all the players to single out those two are strange ones to pick

We need to pull a rabbit out the hat in Jan - cannot afford NOT to spend

Be difficult at the moment to persuade the quality of player we need to actually join us.  We need better than mid tbke players but we are currently a mid table set up

Hate to say it but the loss of Isak is the biggest issue and everything stems from that. We've lost the thing that broke games open and the player that raised everybody else's game simply by being there.

We managed to look threatening before Isak. We played great with Chris Wood up top ffs.

If that’s the case - and I don’t think it is - then that is an absolute damning indictment of the club’s management.

My doubts about Eddie are growing!

How can you take off your best goalscorer after 67 minutes in such a one-sided second half (Manu was practically knocked out)?!

I'm playing with two strikers, damn it – Wolte and Wissa!

Schär is playing striker in some situations, and Wolte, at 2 meters tall, is sitting on the bench!

I'm so angry with Eddie today.

And Gordon only played terrible crosses!

:banghead:

Because it's unreasonable on the club's part that we should be affected by losing our absolutely crucial centre-forward?

Of course it was going to have a massive impact. No matter who we signed, we'd be worse off.

Thought that was really poor we didn't go 2 up top for the last 30.

No what we did was take Woltemade off with a plan of throwing Fabian up top last 10mins.

Why the fcuk would you do that.
