Show that he can tactically evolve away from a 433, stop relying on Tindall and Jones and implement some new ideas and tactics, stop buying players like Ramsey, Elanga and Ramsdale who don't improve us at all. Get rid of the dead wood when they can still be sold for more than peanuts, play two strikers together at least once, find a way to get Woltemade more involved and productive, hammer the mackems at SJP, teach Gordon how to shoot, teach Livramento how to cross, don't play Dan Burn at LB etc. etc. Everything I've written seems reasonable to me.

If and when we do implement new ideas and tactics, how will you know that it wasn't Tindall and Jones' idea?

When we don’t have a manager like Bruce or Joe Kinnear in the role it’s a lot easier for me to sit comfortably and see what the manager can do to get us out of a poor run. When we’ve got a good manager in a poor run of form I look around and see which managers are available and would be a realistic option. I don’t see any at the moment so I’m quite happy to give a young manager the room to improve.

With that said, I’m also happy if we have a club management team that are savvy and ruthless enough to be looking at options, even if and when things are going well, so that if changes need to be made at some point in the future the club isn’t left floundering and flapping - the same goes for identifying and selling players at, as near as possible, the right time.

TLDR - I’m fine with Eddie but there are few Messiahs in football.

And if he doesn't over achieve and deliver a European trophy he should be out of the door?

What does Howe have to do to keep his job in your eyes?

Get the players to keep the football, dominate posession, don't even do anything with it, just keep hold of the ball.

That would be enough for me.

We had 67% posession on boxing day, you responded by saying Howe's reign was over.

I'm not even sure they are capable tbh, although you wouldn't think it would be that difficult.

I would be okay with,

same GK and back four

Bruno    Tonali   BigJoe

Murphy  Wissa  Barnes

Would be happy if we get both Wissa and Wally on the pitch at the same time.

These are likely going to sit deep and try and hit on the counter

Can we see Barnes starting?

He should, but I have a feeling Eddie may stick with Gordon in the hope that this is the game it clicks for him. We need Gordon firing on all cylinders if we want to go on a run, so Eddie may persevere with him
