That wasn’t pretty first 60, but job done in the end. Howe was talking about plan A before game, not sure what the heck plan A was suppose to be today.

We looked better when the game had moments of chaos to it, where it could be stretched. We are a really abject side with the ball and it’s slow, but when open, we’re a strong good side.

Joelinton was a mountain today. Tonali woeful yet again.

Disagree about Tonali - certainly wasn’t woeful. I think it’s just we’re used to such high standards from him

Although Tonali's passing seemed off today, he lost the ball a few times, a think the amount of ground he covers kinda makes up for it.

I think we take that for granted at times.

Whenever I see Palace play in person, it never fails to surprise me how much of an absolute fucking unit Mateta is.

We handled him well enough today mind.

Thought it was a decent win, though they were really quite average, only managing 1 shot on target. Very much improved when Bruno sat back a bit.

Gordon again just so wasteful with attacking possession and, though we greatly improved when he was on, Barnes final ball is often disappointing. Murphy was quite pants throughout.

Miley is wonderful. Given how wasteful we are in the centre, I'd be keen to move him back to midfield to help stop us losing possession and drop Tonali. Especially now Tino is back.

Tonali is a mystery, he is really poor at the moment, his stats are horrendous. I know it's about what you see rather than numbers, but compare Miley stats to Tonali and you'd think they are playing different sports.

Feel so much more confident with Popey in nets from crosses and set pieces

Night and day. Think the defence would agree also.

That was a really poor away following by any standards, especially considering their radical ultras hype.

Not directed at the few who did make the effort of course, well done to them for making the long trip up.

There was one point where he raced back to make a covering tackle/interception, then carried the ball upfield and ended up being the furthest player forward

They’ve rarely travelled in numbers. Ultras are a pack of weapons

Seen him t pitch side today and he is massive, he needs to put himself about a bit more and use his size.

Yes I remember that. He just seems to pop up all over the place.

Unfortunately its his missed place passes that are letting him down slightly at the minute but you can excuse that considering the ground he covers.

Love it up in level 7 standing. Wish they’d increase the numbers man, fucking shite only having about 1800 in the SC, there’s clearly an appetite

Yeah, was excellent.

They’re a bit off the boil but still have some very good players. Arsenal struggled to break them down in League Cup and had to rely on pens.

It’s a cracking result and if we follow it up by beating Leeds, we might just be back in the hunt for a CL place.

Looking at our bench today, when all our players are fit we can actually maintain the level of the team with substitutions.

With Burn, Elanga and Osula back we Will have a string 1st team and good options off the bench.

His disdain for Ryder won't ever be not funny (skip to 09:48)

Couldn't quite hear what Ryder was saying when Eddie asked him what does he mean, but was Ryder using Asprilla "as an example"?

Looks like Edwards has spent the festive period injecting himself with custard and lard.

Think he was asking how he felt we coped with Palace’s ONSLAUGHT in the first half.
