If it’s a defender going up to head it, it’s not even a discussion, but it is the kind of one keepers normally get, rightly or wrongly.
Checko
Even watching the highlights frame by frame it's hard to tell for certain if Schar does brush the ball with his hand. I think he does (in which case handball as he scores directly after) but it's actually a very light touch. His arm does then hit the keeper's arm while he had two hands on the ball, which is what causes him to drop it. and though it's accidental the rules say "A goalkeeper cannot be challenged by an opponent when in control of the ball with their hand(s)/arm(s)." Ultimately I think it was correct to disallow it. Anyway, my big takeaway from the game is that if you want to make football more entertaining make players wear shitter studs. Dokko
Compare this game to the snooze fest last night. But still, the top 6 think they are the heartbeat of the league.
Groundhog63
Was taking to the youngun, last week, and he was saying when he was crossing the Millenium Bridge with his partner and the bambino, while we were at the Palace game, they heard the roar when we scored. I remember being in town one night hearing similar and someone, on here, posted a video from a deserted town centre, on a dark winter night, when the silence was blown up by the roar. Spine tingling. Would love to see one from 90=101 on Wednesday. Even more so if it had some of the losers who left early on it

It was always going to be disallowed, but watching it frame by frame it looks like he doesn't actually touch the ball, it looks like the keeper loses grip on the ball as he lands. And the keeper's reaction looks more like "shit, I've just massively fucked up" than "that's a fucking foul ref!". Then he goes to the ref and unconvincingly points to his knee, seemingly claiming that Schar fouled him with he knee rather than that he knocked the ball out of his grasp with his hand. Not that it actually matters at all. Edited January 9 by Jackie Broon
Groundhog63
Notwithstanding our Brentford to beat the Makems pick that left me and @Pokerprince2004 still in our own LMS, the 101st minute winner left me and another kid in the last 2 of another (£440) LMS 😂😂 Kids on the WhatsApp group were getting all excited for the rollover too. 😂😂😎

I agree with the keeper's reactions as well, he looks like someone who knows he's fucked up. Then he suddely comes to life when he realises he's got away with it. That said, Schar's trailing arm does clearly hit the keeper's hand after he has two hands on it which is what causes him to lose his grip on the ball. I'd be a bit annoyed if that was allowed to stand against us.

Then the defender tells him to snap out of it so they can make the decision more convincing.

I don’t particularly agree with keepers consistently getting this type of decision, but if it was the other way round, I’d definitely be expecting it to be disallowed, and would be be disappointed, from a consistency pov, if it wasn’t. I think you are being very kind on this occasion with the GK. As Barry Davies once commentated… “Look at his face.. just look at his face!”

Fak
Seen a few Leeds fans say Joelinton shouldn't have been on the pitch when he scored the equaliser. Assume they mean he should have had a second booking but not sure for what?

GeordieDazzler
DCL could have had a second yellow for completely ignoring the refs instructions several times during his substitution

GeordieDazzler
I mean lots of players try to intimidate the ref but Big Joe is one of the few that is actually genuinely intimidating
