Liverpool vs. Newcastle United: 31/1/26 @ 20:00 (TNT Sport)

It seems like insanity to not play either of our recognised strikers...but maybe Howe is thinking they haven't done enough in games anyway (like coming back to help out etc). See if Gordon can do better.

Might be a genius approach. Dunno. See how the game pans out.

Its ridiculous having both strikers on the bench.

It's Liverpool away so I'm expecting nothing regardless. We'll see how it pans out and whether it's something we can use in other matches this season. We've done it a couple of times against Arsenal previously and it's worked really well.

One things for certain - Gordon's place in the first XI seems assured, regardless of form.

Played class against PSG

Keep howe  away from the window signings in the future please. Three strikers on the bench and doesn't play any of them. 😂

Osula up top would be better than Anthony the scuff gordon.

Also, just to add. Szob dominated Barnes last game. So I hope we might at least have some fluidity in that front 3. Especially as Elanga has looked better on the left the few times he’s attacked down that side for us.

When does gordon ever help out in defense?

Feel like I'm in upside down world with Gordon tbh. I've spent months saying how he's been really poor and getting away with murder, suddenly he's found a bit of form and loads of people hate him.

I get the choice of Barnes and Elanga at the wings, but then I'd bench Gordon and play Wissa instead. Seems like benching Gordon is never an option, though. I don't want to say too much now, because I would look silly if Gordon scores.[emoji38]

Gordon has been in pretty good form actually. That front 3 looks good for playing on the counter.

This is very true, with one caveat, two of the said front 3's short passing is some of the worst I've seen from professional players, misplaced 5/10 yards passes that do my brain in. Hope you're bang on though.

Yeah I just find it strange having them both on the bench.
