Conjo Posted February 19 Share Posted February 19 Haven't caught up with the post match discussion, so maybe it's been done to death already, and I feel dirty for even saying it after such a big win, but the performance didn't really convince me that much? 2 penalties, 1 set piece, 1 gigantic individual mistake and 1 deflected shot. Considering how open and poorly they played, I was sort of hoping for more goals from open play? Based on how we played, I don't really see any indication that our performances in the league will improve unless Howe plans to use Dan Burn in a Pirlo role. The goals you've described come from how well we pressed these for the entirety of the first half. If their keeper didn't play a worldie it'd have been 8 or 10. Yeah and we had a xg of 5.56, we rinsed them first half due to our positions and pace. We did to Villa and Spurs as well tbf, we handled ourselves much better last 3 games than any other away games this season and deserved our wins.
