Woltemade back up top? But playing as an 8 anyway? ;)

I'm hearing this but is there any reason why we think Woltemade will be back up top? I would have thought after midweek Gordon will be flying.

Be shocked and a bit disappointed if it’s anything other than Gordon up front.

We struggle enough away from home against weaker teams with Woltemade leading the line trying to hold it up long enough for the midfield to get up in support. Against a team like City who will pin us back that’ll only be exacerbated.

Gordon and Elanga gives us a real threat on the break, Willock left should give him some opportunities as a ball carrier too.

I think the only real justification is if you're worried about getting picked apart in midfield. But I think if that was the worry, then Joelinton would be playing.

Would everyone on their bench be in our starting XI?

Really goes to show how far away we are, they can put out a 20-man matchday squad and at least 17-18 of them you'd probably put ahead of our first XI

Goes to show what you can do when you cheat - PL will continue to sweep it under the rug though. They care about their brand more.

Surely charging them is the opposite to sweeping it under the rug?

Lip service - want to show they are doing something.  The evidence is there - it's in the public domain.  UEFA found them guilty but got away with it by a technicality (time barred).  There is no reason it should take this long.

Just seen that Barnes isn't starting so it might be Howe feels he needs a left winger so Gordon would play there.

Willock has been at his best at LW.

Surely just a straight swap with Barnes.

Can't see Woltemade getting involved in anything up top alone today.
