No harm in giving a hungry young player like Neave some minutes if we are losing by a fair margin.

Not exactly War & Peace re complexity.

Not always the best idea to chuck in young unproven players during a battering

A, very, small part of me is welcoming a loss here if it helps Man City catch Arsenal.

100% of me wants us to win - and tbh Arsenal don't need help from us to throw away the league.  They're capable of doing it themselves.

I haven't even thought about Arsenal with regards to this game until these posts.  Who gives a fuck what Arsenal and City do?

What those teams are doing does not concern me in the slightest unless we're in the race with them.  Fuck them and COME ON NEWCASTLE.

No where near that far on the spectrum but it will definitely help take the edge off as long as it's not a right bumming.

Even better when we go to Arsenal and bring 3 points back

Who has a favourite between Arsenal and Man City?! Who gives a toss? If we won and it gave Mordor FC the title, I'd still want us to win, ffs.

Is our record against City the worst current record over the past 20 years? We haven’t won at Anfield for ages either but I imagine we have a better record there

Favourite? We are haters, we like to see other teams pain. If city lose the title no one cares, if Arsenal lose it this season it’s a generational head loss.

If this was Sunderland going for the league, I could see it as a consideration, and frankly I can’t honestly say what I would want to happen. Arsenal, though? Seriously?

If you're talking away record I'd say Anfield is worse- at least we won a league cup game at Man City and won a league game at Maine Road this millennium.

It's like discussing what is the best kind of aids, our records at both are horrible.

Be good to see how the new formation works against the plastics

Nice test for Wolte. I think we may go Joelinton over him though today

The game feels tailor made for Wolte
