Why do we always seem to get Saturday games after CL, never Sunday? With the new formation we have, get into them!

Because we play again on Tuesday.

I have no doubt Howe will play his strongest side and this new formation has been paying dividends, giving us more attacking prowess and fluidity in the front 4. But this still feels like a dead rubber to end all dead rubbers, real futility as City start the march to league victory that they do every year. I'd rip every limb off for a draw here.

City aren't that great atm(which is essentially the same as Haaland isn't at his best), but still hard to see us getting anything at Etihad.

Can't remember us ever putting up a fight there.

If we can sneak a win though, things suddenly doesn't look that hopeless in the hunt for european places. Villa is free-falling. We have a pretty decent schedule after this.

Then i actually looked at the table and saw that Villa was 14 points ahead, that won't be easy in 12 matches I guess :D

We can go very near full strength for this and play a weakened team on Tuesday. Although with three GK on the bench last night we dont have loads of rotation options for Tuesday.

Have a feeling we might get pumped here.

City will smell blood with Arsenal stumbling last night and we could well be leggy after a ridiculous away trip.

Please don't go man-to-man against this lot again Eddie.

Haaland doubtful although he usually does fuck all against us anyway, Marmoush related security bet it is.

Not sure we have the players to do too much differently but I wonder if there might be any thought of throwing them a dummy like we did to the bin dippers in the league last year before the Carabao final.

If not, let's get amongst them and if we don't gift them our customary soft goals at their place, we can get a result. HOWAY THE LADS!

I think there’s enough to rotate Tuesday if some of the players come back from injury.

Ramsdale for Pope

Shahar for Tripps

Murphy for Thiaw

Botman for Hall, move BDB to LB

Miley, Willock, Ramsey in midfield, have Big Jo and Sam Alabi on the bench.

Osula, Wissa, Elanga as the front 3, use Nick and Neave off the bench.

Enough there to win by a comfortable couple of goals. Takes Pope, Sandro, Gordon, Barnes and Hall out whilst Thiaw gets a week between games.

Mental that they've scheduled us to play on Saturday after playing in fucking Baku on Wednesday. Not expecting anything from this as a result, it's a free hit in my eyes
