duo
Would assume he'll rest Gordon for this as much as he'll want to play

Should be more than enough. Ideal for Joelinton to get some minutes to build up his fitness too. 100% on Shahar and Murphy. Fuck no with Ruddy. Would have someone like Alabi as midfield cover. SUPERTOON
Joelinton and Burn a booking away from a ban?

Aye, and they get wiped after this game, so might be sensible (although not sure how practical) to let them miss this.
Checko
Wouldn't mind seeing a couple of the young'uns given a chance, but probably for the last 45 mins or so. Alex Murphy could start, would make sense to rest Hall. Ramsdale maybe too. Osula up top with Wissa coming on or vice versa. Maybe give Barnes and Gordon half a game each on the left. Three full days rest in between games, few home games on the bounce and probably won't be a crazy high tempo game so don't think fatigue will be a massive concern. Just rotate for form/fitness/avoid suspensions.

midds
The whole point of scoring 6 a week ago is so we could rest quite a few and give them the night off. If you can't rest players when you're 5 goals up and playing the worst team we've seen and we're at home then I'm not sure when you can tbh
Holloway
We're still getting to grips with a new formation, training has been restricted by a mental schedule, so in that respect I'd keep Wolfy in there with maybe Osula starting up top. Give Trips,Hall and Tonali a rest, surely A Murphy can get a start Edited February 23 by Holloway

If you can't rest players when you're 5 goals up and playing the worst team we've seen and we're at home then I'm not sure when you can tbh The problem is that every available player is getting a lot of minutes atm because of the number of injuries and the number of games. There's no first-teamers waiting in the wings for an opportunity except Osula and arguably Ramsdale. If Botman still isn't available, for instance, what choice do we have other than to play Thiaw and Burn again? The only options as I see it are: in goal; at left-back (because Alex Murphy has played before and it's theoretically easier to chaperone an inexperienced player there); and up front; with Osula surely guaranteed a start. Every other position needs to be occupied by one of the regular players. Trippier will surely get a rest but it'll be Jacob Murphy who deputises. The saving will hopefully be in the reduced preparation and matchday intensity, and the ability to make plenty of subs.

Well yeah obviously we're restricted to playing from the squad fit and available, I wasn't suggesting playing 11 from the youth team. There will be some players who I'm sure we would rather rest but simply can't and that's unavoidable. But changing the shape or composition of the team so some key players do get a rest needs to be a priority

Yes. Will normally have it on demand, highlights etc. I’m hoping they have the snazzy mode that lets you overlay player stats, just to quote them at @bobbydazzla.
