Can we keep a record of those advocating for playing a weakened side and then compare their reaction when the line-up is announced along with their reaction post match.

Please quote me, you'll get no umberance from me, it's a shame because I think we can win both but at the same time can't win both if you get me. And I'd rather be in a CL quarter final than the dizzying heights of 9th or 10th in the table.

                 Ramsdale

Trippier - Botman - Burn - Hall

Woltemade - Tonali - Ramsey

   Murphy - Osula - Willock

Rests for Thiaw, Joelinton, Elanga, Barnes, Gordon. Shame we can't give Tonali a rest; the Miley injury is such a pisser.

None of this 'play the kids' shite please. The league season is far from done.

Thank you, I've been trying to elucidate my thoughts on this for the last two days and this sums it up nicely. See where this gets us and if we're in the game with 20 - 30 minutes left, make the relevant subs to get something

I know, but at the very least, rest Hall and Trippier.

There's nothing to say we can't get a result there, Chelsea are very beatable this season. Only issue is they do score goals, and we tend to concede them so that will make it more difficult.

Surely play Wissa from the start for this one?
He should have fresh legs in theory

Tonali may need a rest - perhaps put Willock there and Elanga on LW, Murphy on RW

Also Tino should be good to start this, put A. Murphy at LB (but he may struggle against Estevao so ok if Burn goes there and Thiaw and Botman in the middle)

I'd be happy to see Wissa in from the start but my assumption is that he is in no position to be starting games. If he is, great, and let's hope it's the true start, after his false one.

Aye beat Chelsea and we go 5 points behind them with 24 left to play. I get it's unlikely we'll finish in the top 5, but throwing in the towel now would be pretty outrageous

I’d like to see us go 4-5-1 Wolt as striker, Wissa as RW when defending, our most advanced mid/winger takes his pressing duties he drops back out of possession and man marks someone…maybe Chelsea isn’t the game to try this out, but we should try it sometime. Play high tempo, Wolt wilts playing slowball

I feel like I'm rehashing what I said last season, but we usually end the season really well. I'd expect this year to be no different if we don't get past Barca.

2024/25 - 16 points from the last 9

2023/24 - 17 points from the last 9

2022/23 - 15 points from the last 9

2021/22 - 18 points from the last 9

This has the feeling of one of those games where it's a bit of a stuck together XI, we surprisingly get off to a flier and look good for about 20-30 minutes, maybe even nick the lead, before losing 1-3.
