Aye the result was awful in the end, but I'm still so proud of our lads, for three quarters of the tie we were better than them, but their class and experienced told in the end, obviously.

Put me off European football in the end that.

The money makes no difference now. Fucks up the domestic season. Too long risk free a league phase. Same shit as the PL, just a different cartel.

Would you like me to quote them? Obscene amount of negativity from start to finish. You're an absolute fanny.

They’re absolutely buzzing to seize on this opportunity to be relentlessly fucking dull after this match

Very proud. What I expected, just not in the way it ended up happening.

We had our windows, took some, missed loads, and came up short to a team that do that to loads of teams at home when they can be arsed. Shit happens, we now move into a match a week schedule, thank Christ.

Proud of the team. Went toe to toe with Barca for 135 mins across two legs, and then it just got away from us and our confidence shattered.

Ah well ... very good Champions League campaign on the whole.

Really disappointing and unfortunate it had to end in this fashion. Can't help but feel bad for the team that it has.

Trippier was bad throughout imo.

Whole teams arse dropped out at HT. The goal deflated us but we continued with the same approach and they destroyed us.

They sensed blood and struck. We’ve done it to teams in the past when we had the rat up top. It’s what good sides do

To think I was torn between facing Chelsea or Barcelona in this round… what an idiot :buck2:

Anyway - focus now on the league and a huge game on Sunday

They came out in the second haf and went through gears we simply don't possess. We didn't cover ourselves in glory with how we played in the second half but they're quality going forward and if you give them time and space then you're going to get fucking whipped. Thats exactly what's happened tonight, we've had our bare arse handed to us on a plate by a far superior team. We just need to take it on the chin, learn lessons and move on. It's been a horrific night, no need to start slagging players or managers, it happens, it's brutal but accept it and move on. It's only one game

Midds talking the most sense. We outplayed them in for a game and a half, they had more given to them than they should have, but we just couldn't keep it up for the second half of tonight's game. UEFA and the FA stink of corruption, but at the end of it all, we tried for the most part and didn't put out a bad effort apart from the last 45 of 180. The gulf of strength in depth, especially in the season we've had off the back of a god awful summer last year, combined with the expected 'assistance' from the officials - there's reasons not to get carried away of a result like this as things stand. I just hope we use it as motivation to destroy the unwashed at the weekend.

On the upside, we were no worse on aggregate that Chelsea and only marginally behind Man City. And who knows what Spurs will end up with.

At least we didn't have to put up with the insufferable play acting that would have accompanied a closer scoreline. They are pretty good going forward but they won't win it

Not complaining, but injury time only a thing when certain teams are pushing for a goal?

We were pushing for 6 tbf... 😄
