Was it a DIY job or can you buy them?

Club shop sells them; they told me they were so in demand that the next range will have player-specific versions, themselves sub-categorised by "Crock", "Shit", "Eddie's Favourites", or "Not a Howe Player". Commercial team currently considering how to deal with players that fit into more than one category.

Joke if Gibbs-White plays tonight.

I don’t care what kind of protective gear they concoct for him, there’s no way you should be risking heading a football four days after splitting your forehead open in the manner he did.

Forest are on the rise. It’s going to be a tight contest again. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for the Magpies.

So are we now :indi:

Going to this. Only competitive match I’ve been to here was 1-0 loss in championship 08. Went to a friendly around 2002, which I think we also lost.

Looking forward to it. Good proper ground, and have a feeling we might do well.

Last time i went it was a quite a long time ago, last day of the season and a boiling hot day. Fans were climbing up the floodlights in the away end and then invaded the pitch at the end - cue the brawling. I remember a headline in one the Sunday rags the next day which said 'The Sad Face of Soccer' with a photo of a fan with blood on his face.

Great times......

86-87 ? Gazza was great. That was the match Cloughie came onto the pitch ay the end to try stop the aggro IIIRC.

Went to that one and followed it up by watching Geremi’s last hurrah at Scunthorpe the week after. Grim.

Found a snippet from YouTube:

Brief highlights (no commentary) of Nottingham Forest's final game of the 1986-87 season v Newcastle United. Backed by a healthy crowd, the visitors went into this game knowing they were safe from relegation following a remarkable 7 wins in 13 games (2 defeats) which moved them up the table from bottom to 17th. Forests first half goals came from Colin Forster and a Stuart Peace penalty. Paul Gascoigne pulled a late goal back for United. The game ended with a pitch invasion from both supporters that resulted in violence on the pitch and some headline news the following day. Attendance: 17,788

Think this will be one where Forest are much like Palace were last week at Bournemouth. They'll be running on empty and have a quite a few injuries.

2-0 Newcastle. :indi:

He's named on the bench tonight.

An irrational football cliché is the only reason I'm not dreading this, but when a mid table-ish team goes on a run like Forest, it sometimes ends in a rout. When we won six on the spin last season, Bournemouth turned us over 1-4 at SJP. These look ferocious like. Hoping Thurs goes to pens.

One game too soon for fuck's sake

Kind of embarrassing if we don’t win this. They have played 3 games in 6 days, lost a semi final they were leading where they likely win the final.

We used the emotion of Europe and extra games as an excuse all season now it’s time to take advantage of this.

3 games in 6 days for them. We have to be looking to win this, you’d imagine tonight will take a lot out of them regardless of the result.

No doubt we’ll look like the team who’s played 3 in 6 days then 😂
