Notts Forest vs. Newcastle United: 10/05/26 @ 14:00 (Sky Sports)

Recommended Posts

Feels like a game we have to win..just think we need to go into the summer on the back of some good results, a defeat and it will feel like Saturday was a one of.

I think we win this one.

Nevermind feels like a game we need to win.

9 points can still get us in the mix.

We've had a full week of training after a decent home win

They've had yesterday's game on top and have injuries. Notwithstanding we're away and Villa were at home but Forest couldn't cope with Villa's intensity and individual press. They won every single, individual moment

If we can replicate that, they'll fold.

Completely agree, no excuses not to win this one

Forest looked pathetic. Defence in absolute tatters. The Geordie wonder boy looked - ordinary.

Resounding home win (almost) guaranteed.

Absolutely the best time to play them, they'll be shot after that routing on Thursday and if by some stroke of complete idiocy MGW gets pitch time, he won't be fancying any duels anyway.

Its all but certainly a game that will make fuck all difference to anything meaningful but its one that because of the circumstances is set up for us to perform and win.

Feel it's a good time to play them. I wanna see a positive end to season. 7 points from last 3 games and better performances. We need a good finish. Europe or not.

It will be same team as Brighton but with Trippier in for Miley.

Not that I agree but that's what I think he'll do.

Of course he will. We won that game so it's same again apart from Miley as you've said.

Could potentially see Gordon in for Willock. Assuming Forest will be playing that Jair Cunha at RB, so definitely there to be got at.

Seems like they'll be missing a few players, plus they've only had 2 days rest. Added to that it's a ground we usually do well at. Got to be winning this really.

If Gordon is likely to be going I wouldn’t have him starting, or even getting on

Why?

Why?

Because if he’s likely leaving, he probably isn’t fully there mentally. Better to give minutes to players who’ll be here next season and start planning ahead now.

Does the same apply to Trippier?

What if Bayern (or anyone else) don’t offer the money we want, and he doesn’t decide to be a massive dickhead like certain people?

He might go, he might not, but as long as he’s applying himself, he’s still one of our best players.

Trippier is a model pro who will give 100% of himself from first whistle to last.

We can't rely on Gordon to do the same.

If he did he'd be quality. Some players don't realise that. He's not Messi but he could be alot better than he is if he applied the same levels as he has in CL games. Though if he's off to Bayern it probably a moot point.
