Beyond frustrating and sums up the whole season. Baffling selection again, playing one of the best left backs in the league at rightback to accomodate one of his favourites with a right back on the bench. Wolt starting for no reason when Willock performed well last week and against Arsenal. It’s been a full season now and he still doesn’t know his best side.

Tonali was terrible. Joelinton & Brumo were excellent.

Swao Tonali with Anderson and we win today.

Thought Bruno was shite where it mattered, when he actually had opportunities to score. His shooting was atrocious.

Maybe, but also makes a mockery of EH saying he'll only pick players who are 100% committed (not that he aimed that at Gordon, of course).

And then some on here took offence to a journalist asking if Eddie was "a man of his word".

Don’t care about the mockery. Do care about the transfer fee.

We’re so incapable of holding onto a goal lead it’s affecting how I feel when we go ahead  get a second, or score so late there’s no time to blow it, and I’m buzzing.

Thought we were half decent against a team who’s seasons over

axtuslly thought Wissa looked a bit more promising, he looked sharp on the ball a couple of times (my expectations are low like)

Nice to learn Osula has a free kick in him

Sucker punched. Proud of the performance. Dominated them, fine margins. That Sels is such a prick. Time wasting from minute one.

This is a pretty wild take

We should have battered them today…

knocked out of Europe, key players missing and having played on Thursday…

We on the other hand have had another clear week to train and fully prepare leading up to this… and with one of the strongest squads we’ve had this season…

Today summed up the majority of the season… not good enough and badly let down in the closing minutes.. and not just the league, we fucked ourselves over against Man City and Barcelona in the cups…

very disappointing sums it up….

Just a real slog of a game, most players played like they were wearing jeans. Not too sure Pope was much at fault for the goal like, was a fast strike of the ball.

Bruno should have went off earlier imo, he was struggling to get around the pitch.

Joelinton’s poor first-touch killed a lot of promising attacks for us. The midfield was a real struggle throughout.

Not many positives to take for me.

We looked better than them most of the game but dunno if we played well

Always waiting for a sucker punch these days and it's a bit depressing.

Wish it was just Joelinton with the poor touch. Saw it from too many other players, and it's not like it's the first time.

Pressing relentlessly is not to be sniffed at, but would be nice if we didn't have so many players who treat the ball like a hot potato.

He was for 20 mins, then he increasingly started losing the ball or fouling players late.

Did a lot of hard graft and defensive work as usual. Felt like technically we couldn’t make the most of those transitional moments on the counter. He wasn’t the only culprit, but an overall lack of sharpness at moments when they mattered.

Joelinton having a storming end to the season, when he is injury free like this he is such a force still

Going to be a sad day when he's done here.

Just utter rubbish at doing the things that you win you football matches sadly.

Said this other day but the obsession with Joelinton playing every minute hurts us more than it helps us. He's a massive part of why we can't hold onto the ball for toffee and why we invite so much pressure.

there isn't an obsession with playing him every minute though

We must be close to setting some sort of record for points lost from winning positions / points lost in the last ten minutes of games. Looks as if the players just expect it to happen as well now
