Wallsendmag
7 minutes ago, James said: Imagine the lift it will give the players and staff that despite a challenging season for various reasons, we all still love them for what they have delivered up to now. They're probably not all that arsed about stuff like that. The display and reception they got as they entered the pitch v Sunderland was absolutely spine tingling (God knows how much time and effort went into all that) then they played like they couldn't give a shit. You have the odd exception, Bruno for example, but for most of them it's just a profession. That's why I could never understand so many people kicking off with Gordon and Botman for wishing Isak well. He was a work mate of theirs who supposedly was going on to better things in their eyes. They don't see things the way we see them. I suspect they'll just want the season over with so that they can either go off to the World Cup or on holiday with their families. Pablo123
I've been down the local battery chicken farm and bagged up loads of feathers. Need the tar to get dropped off on the day and I'll tar and feather every cunt, you included, obviously.

KennyUtd
I'll be too busy getting pissed and shouting "cockney cunts" to be bothered about a lap of honour. Still be there to see it though.

gbandit
Going to walk onto the pitch, pull my trousers down and take a shit on the turf. Then going to get out a little stick and cut the word ‘Howe’ into the sturdy turd. Only then will I feel I’ve conveyed my true feelings Edited May 11 by gbandit

It is a job for them. You get the odd exception but your average Premier League footballer isn't emotionally invested in the football club in the same way as you are. Arguably the best atmosphere and support they received this season was at home to Sunderland and they didn't appear to be all that interested. It certainly didn't motivate or inspire them. pinkeye
The players have done a lap of the pitch all season whether they have won or lost. Doing it after a loss must be fuckin tough.... The least anyone can do as a supporter of this club is to stay and give them a reasonable cheer and a thank you for their work this season. There will be a few of them that we never see again as Newcastle players so I will be staying.
