Dave
PS: that's probably one of the reasons our commercial income is wank. Just a thought.
Yorkie
Looking good. Only a few to go. http://i.imgur.com/yZc1dpv.jpg It's beyond a joke, man. I always mention it but that photograph you posted (think it was from 11/12) really demonstrated what a farce the amount of Sports Direct advertising there was. Getting rid of the one from the Gallowgate roof is a great start though, it was the worst of the lot.
nufcjb
I used to love it when in the past, we had updates in the summer about SJP's upgrading works in the summer. Even the relaying of the pitch was usually an updated issue.. It's good that the daft ads on the roof are gone..and like Dave said, just a few more to go..just a few.. AyeDubbleYoo
The only one I really care about is the ruining of the Newcastle United text. I hated the roof, but at least it wasn't really visible from inside the ground.
Guest icemanblue
The only one I really care about is the ruining of the Newcastle United text. I hated the roof, but at least it wasn't really visible from inside the ground. It was for the majority, to be honest. I could even see it from my near pitch level seat in the Milburn Paddock. Agree that removing that sign was the worst, though.
Dave
Yep. Take the ones off the East Stand and I'd be 'content' with the rest.

Anderson
"The iconic gates which once adorned the home of Newcastle United are to officially return to St. James' Park this summer after a successful partnership between fans, the Club and new sponsors Wonga.com http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_maemcdFwsy1rfeex0o1_500.gif Correct me if I'm wrong, but this has been in the works for some time hasn't it? Clearly just a ploy to try and shed some good light on Wonga after recent stories.
Stifler
It's nothing to do with Wonga, NCC and Hall partnered up to bring them back and originally they were going to be placed on council owned land next to SJP Metro station. NUFC decided to get on board and wanted them on their land.

bowlingcrofty
NUFC Fans United organised this with John Hall and then proposed it to NUFC. Nothing to do with them or Wonga. Jokers.

Guest Haris Vuckic
The FAMOUS, ICONIC, GATES that stood in front of the HALLOWED TURF of St.James' Park that used to bring PRIDE & JOY to GEORDIES everywhere despite being at the club less time than Shola Ameobi....
