One of the worst keeping mistakes I've ever seen!

As a kid,m you're told to get your body behind the ball - useless pig!

Such an unnecessary but wonderful insult

I’ve been watching walkthrough YouTube videos of the Mercedes Benz stadium, and it looks amazing. From various points, including the main entrance point into the stadium, the concourse is open plan so that you can see the pitch.

Absolute shame that the ‘No alcohol in view of the pitch’ laws would mean that we can’t do that.

Fuck that. People go for a pint of piss Carling at 35 minutes when you can’t see the game, the stands will be varnigh empty if we had that.

I can concur, in the gallowgate club there were windows in the bar with view of the pitch and if it was fucking numb outside people would just stand in there with a pint.

But it would only happen if alcohol was allowed in view of the pitch. At that point you’d be allowed to take your drink in the stands with you. People would just get a few drinks and take them with them.

Stiffy loves the MB stadium. It’s cool man, but it’s not the GOAT. It’s over stimulating and you’re far as absolute fuck from the action. I caught us playing Chelsea in the preseason match last summer and it wasn’t ideal man. It’s an impressive and amazing build I agree tho.

A lot of discussion about what people want and what people don't want going forward, but there isn't much emphasis on what is realistically going to happen.

1. Move leazes terrace - no

2. Ground share with mackems - no

3. Build a temporary stadium - no

4. extend the gallowgate - maybe

5. Build a new stadium in leazes park - maybe

6. Anything done before 2028 - no

Prefer the Vikings stadium myself big fan of the glass window at one end to frame part of the City’s landscape, could work well for us in a future rebuild.

No I appreciate your feedback.

I would prefer a stadium that is obviously designed for football, rather than an NFL stadium that can also host football.

My point was that the facilities in it look amazing, and exactly what we need, and I also love the fact that you can see the pitch as soon as you walk in.

My favourite stadium is actually Lucas Oil Field, it looks like a giant warehouse from the outside, but has that semi-open end behind one goal line.

Really? The one that you posted a while back? That looked like a mix between a modern barn and a warehouse? If so, I wouldn’t live in it even if I was a homeless guy in Siberia during the winter.

I guess architecture is subjective.

A warehouse style building in an industrial city fits in more than say the Mercedes Benz stadium does.

The Mercedes Benz stadium is a good looking stadium, but it sort of has to fit in with it’s surroundings.

If we were relocating to Castle Leazes and wanted the building to blend into it’s surroundings better, the SOFI Stadium design in LA would be a good blueprint of a modern stadium.

Think a more landmark building towering over the City appeals to me though.

Blends perfectly with the surrounding parking lots indeed.
