Nah, I can't see that making any difference at all, Man Utds plan relies on finding the money, the conservative Labour government, Rat face actually getting a plan that works and the Glazers.

Would rather we take our time to get it right than rush it through. It’s clear that progress is being made behind the scenes and as much as I would love to know officially what’s going on and whether we are staying or going, I’d rather know when there’s a solid plan in place.

I agree with this. Think it would be an incredibly difficult and time-consuming exercise due to so many opinions.

 

Make a decision, keep the fans informed, crack on.

Definitely. Especially when the only reason for doing it is to say they have.

Complete guesswork but I think if they get clearance to build Leazes park area they’ll do it (new stadium that is)

Exactly, this is a 5-10 year project.  They have to take their time.

Whilst I enjoy hearing players opinions on football related things, land acquisition, planning permission, architectural design phases, structural engineering planning as well as working alongside local authorities and builders isn't necessarily their forte.

It took nearly 10 years to get from initial planning stage to them actually starting the redevelopment of it.

If it's announced this summer, and it's phased build, I'd say 7 years till completion.

It all depends on how capable the design team are.

 

For a brand new site, why couldn't the build take under 5 years? Spurs new ground didn't take more than that iirc.

Modern building techniques can take a lot of time off total construction time. It really depends on what the unique selling point of the stadium will be.

 

Sustainability, energy efficient, multi purpose etc. The more bells and whistles will add time.

Because I have no background in architecture, planning regulations, design or construction, I'm going to throw in a pointless guess too - 9 years, to align with the 2034 world cup.
