New stadium and they’ve realised that 65K isn’t enough - back to the drawing board!

Just draw another tier of seats on top of the previous plan. 5 minute job.

Where’s this from?

Also, the replacement for the original architect (who defected to another stadium project) is about to quit due to design culture differences, so third one in 18 months will be appointed in July. Or so I've heard...

I thought that they had a few different firms offering up plans though?

The original architect actually became a residential property green space landscaper

Daft cunt probably can't find space for the Greyhound kennels. Freddie Shepard would of had this sorted over a weekend at Mitford Hall.

Gone quiet on this front? Honestly thought we'd hear something once the season was wrapped up.

We’ll end up hearing about the new club badge first I think.

My guess is the commercial team are on holiday and will be back in coming weeks to wrap things up.

Could it be that just on the off chance that nothing has happened?

Probably but giving fans a hint of a deadline for announcements/news and completely blowing through them will lead to (my) frustration.

I’d been led to believe something was forthcoming. No idea for the delay. Not that I know anything really, just heard from a few people in the build sector that things would be public soon.  Agree with people though, don’t speak about deadlines unless you stick to them.

The much maligned Geordie Journos said the club was ready to announce something 3 weeks ago as well.

That being said, they also said we'd sourced a new training ground

Someone reasonably reputable (can't remember who) had said that they could have announced something like Man Utd did - they know what they want to build and where - but they want to speak to the council etc to make sure they will be able to do what they say they're going to do.

Still, it's the regular pre-announcement announcements that are annoying. Stop setting deadlines if you can't meet them ffs.

In their defence and i might be wrong but does it not point to what has been rumoured in here from bits people have heard that they’ve had a late change of mind on the size and have wisely realised that 65k wasn’t big enough so were re-doing the plans for a slightly different location to accommodate the bigger capacity after seeing the scenes at the parade?
