I can see why the club won't sell more season tickets.  If the decision is to redevelop St James' then they will need to re sit ticket holders who are in areas effected by the works.  The fewer the number then the easier of a task it would be.

 

If we are moving, then the logistics of having season ticket holders visit the new stadium to select their new seat will be a huge task as well. ( assume that would happen, my Spuds supporting mate had the chance to visit their new stadium to choose where he would like to sit. )

I'd imagine my 39 quid a month over 12 months will be going up to about 140 quid a month over 8 months. Can't really grumble had a brilliant run at it.

If we are getting a 70k seater stadium or more, we should be getting more season ticket holders.

We currently have an estimated 35k season ticket holders, that number should be pushed to 45k-50k in my opinion.

 

We’ve already been over how Newcastle is a bit far out to expect there to be enough tourist demand like there is for the London and Manchester clubs.

I’d also add, that season ticket holders should probably pay the same rate equal to single match tickets.

Probably say around 42k would be mark if a 70k stadium. 60% of stadium on seasons tickets. Then up to 10% away fans, between 5%-10% corporate (if they’re counted those seats, which I assume they are for safety purposes), leaving circa 20% for members / general sale for lower cup games.

 

Need to keep some gateway for new fans to get to games, having 70% season ticket would be daft. Seen the issues currently of getting tickets if 35k estimate is close (which is 70%+ of stadium).

I dont think we are too far for tourist fans, we aren't successful enough as yet.

They have done, i got an email saying exactly that. I current pay 35 a month x12 and the lad next to me pays 85 quid a month over 8 or 10 months . thats in Gallowgate

The London clubs get people who don't really care which team they're seeing, they just want to see a big PL game. We won't really get that, we'd mostly just get people who specifically want to see Newcastle (which yes would be more substantial if we were more successful)..

It was first come first served when the 1000 were released in the summer following the takeover. That’s how I got mine back after giving it up when Rafa left. My mate was randomly placed about 400th in the queue and got us 4, when I was at about 16k. Pure luck.

Yeah I suppose. Still, saves me getting arrested which I'd likely do if I sat next to one.

 

I guess there may be a bit cache the "renowned" atmosphere etc

I'm not slagging the bloke off, he was a very nice fella, but he was of the opinion that going straight from 10 year freeze price to standard prices wasn't fair
