The prospect of another season with Baba as our only apparent left back though makes it worth the punt. Not seen him since he left Glasgow, really, so no idea how good or bad he is now. Would still prefer Baines, largely because he would be cheaper and is already more experienced - yet is still only young. I think he'll develop into a cracking wing-back. I'd gladly see us splash out for him. Splashing out nowadays is frowned upon for a lot of us, but that's usually only because it's splashed out on the wrong positions (£5m on another left-winger for crying out loud).
