Guest elbee909
You never hear a footballer say of their new club: "Actually, it's a little bit worse here, isn't it? Oh well." I don't suppose 'confirmation bias' is a concept they're familiar with generally.

themanupstairs
"I like the training more," he said. "When I was at Newcastle the training was easier I think. Here it's a little harder and I like that because when I was in Spain it was really hard too." Becoming very prick-ish there. f*** him and the pile of s*** of a club he's scurried off to. Made for each other.
High Five o
I like Enrique, but hate liverpool. I just think he is bitter as he loved NUFC, but not the owners. And he want to justify to him self it was a good move. Play shit, but hey, the training are hard
TRon
He's looking up at us in 4th place and probably missing the banter with his mates here. Those words are probably as much to convince himself as much as anyone else.
summerof69
Or trainiing could genuinly be harder. I think you're right in that he probabaly misses his mates, but he made the choice to leave nufc so he is probably happy joining a club which lets face it is bigger and more ambitious. I would like him to keep nufc out of future comments.

Dinho lad
Don't see too much wrong with his comments, tbh. It's his opinion. Sorry, do you pay regular visits to the Newcastle and Liverpool training ground, by any chance? Just because he said the training here was "easier", doesn't mean the quality is any less. Easier in terms of work load for all we know.

Mr. Snrub
Enrique is a prick, we've got a new LB who's gonna go on to be much better than he was and we're higher than Liverpool in the table. Maybe he should focus more on trying to get anywhere near Spain's 23 man squad rather than talk about NUFC training methods.

JH
Oh no. He said that? That's worrying, especially considering football is won and lost on the training pitch...

ponsaelius
The lad cited Nolan being sold as one of the reasons for his departure. VI did say he was a bit simple like.
Dokko
Can't wait till Santon gets fit and up and running, sounds a right threat going forward. Shame he didn't stay or move to a proper club, but that's life, we all make shite decisions.
Cajun
Don't really mind Jose, he is the only one of the recent departures who I believe left for genuine reasons even if he did string us all along for a while regarding a new contract and claimed to want champions league football but left for one that didn't currently have it. tmonkey
‘The club is allowing all the major players of the team to go. Seriously, do you think it is the fault of the players? Andy (Carroll), Nobby ( Kevin Nolan) etc etc.’ ‘This club will never again fight to be among the top 6 again with this policy.’ Still consider him to be a total cunt for this comment. Players should have no right to question their employers so publicly on things like players sales and transfer policies. If the club want to sell high (as all mid-table clubs do), move the dross on and then instead of spending big on replacements, opt for gambling on players who've fell out of favour elsewhere, or sign hungry players looking to make the step up, or bring through some of the youth players, then who the fuck is he to pass judgement on a policy like that? Especially when "Andy, Nobby, etc etc" were players who developed into "major players of the team" because of such a transfer policy.
Guest Dontooner
Its true, if you dont spend, its difficult to achieve top 6 or stay in it...He had good reason to leave imo...Bigger pay package , in a club willing to spend, at his age ...its probably the most important time. On a individual level i respect his decision....just hope he jinx liverpool when he plays against us ....but overall was proud to have a future spanish international that played his heart for us .. If I go I'll be happy but for me the national team is an extra. It's important but for me it's my club first."
