Guest Chubby Jason
What a joke. Do the CPS have nothing better to do? Should they not be tackling stuff like this? It's funny that no criminal proceedings are ever brought against players for disgusting acts of violence that are totally outside the parameters of the game like Chris Morgan fracturing that bloke's skull and nearly killing him & Ben Thatcher destroying Pedro Mendez with his forarm...that's handled by the FA (badly). John Terry spouting off with admittedly disgusting remarks do not need to be handled by the criminal justice system. It's over the top and pathetic, he should be given the same ban as Suarez and that's that.

FrenchWilliam
I think the police/cps should be handling it. Although one arguement for the FA handling it is they can dish out bigger fines/punishments.

A large majority of crimes are reported to the police and not perused by the CPS, one's much more serious than this incident.

Yes, because with insufficient evidence the chances of a conviction are unlikely. This case clearly there is enough evidence to pursue the case. midds
Maximum sentence for Terry is a £2000 fine........bet he'll be bothered by that like. He'll be branded a racist and his image, endorsements and status will be damaged beyond repair. He's fucked.
Village Idiot
Maximum sentence for Terry is a £2000 fine........bet he'll be bothered by that like. The FA will be forced to hand him a hefty ban (particularly after the one given to Suárez) if he is found guilty.

I was only talking about the court process, he should get the same a Saurez from the FA in my opinion.

Tiresias
John Terry apparently is refusing to voluntarily step down as England captain, shouldn't be an issue I don't think...as he shouldn't be in the squad anyway

He'll be branded a racist and his image, endorsements and status will be damaged beyond repair. He's f***ed. Basically. I would hope the FA have enough sense to drop him from the England team too. I don't care if he's captain, you can't excuse racist behaviour and it would be a detriment to the team at the Euros too (media coverage and all that). (Plus he's not the defender he once was). Guest Craig-NUFC
Didn't hear it, but apparently Alan Hansen just said there's no racism in football because of the number of 'coloured' players in England.
