  2. Yep, we've had tremendous success with the non PL players but the key with all the PL based players we've signed is that they've all been 'stressed assets' somewhat where we've taken advantage of a situation like vultures Tino: Relegated and suffered horrific injury Hall: Slipped way down the pecking order and Chelsea need a PSR flip Gordon: Everton were desperate for the funds and AG forced the move Barnes: Relegated with Leicester and no other big team was in for him Pope: Relegated with Burnley Kelly *shudders*: Free agent and not even Chelsea would've paid him what we were giving him Targett: Fell out of favour at Villa Even with the foreign signings, we only had a shot at Isak and Tonali cause Isak had a pish season prior to that and AC Milan may or may not have been privy to some impending news! Essentially, what I'm trying to say is: "Hey Newcastle, have you considered buying very good players for very low prices" 😄
  3. PSR’s working exactly as it was designed to. The cartel clubs are ring fenced and play by different rules in the transfer market to the rest of us. Our way through this is - to invest in young talent - hold on to Eddie at all costs - grow our income. This is the end game and will be heavily dependent on the two points above. We, basically have to prove that money isn’t the only way to success, hard though it will be.
  4. Looks like we need to look abroad again, any obvious targets we can't compete with "the big 6"
  5. Have a look at almost any team in the top leagues of Europe for examples of better players. You haven't got a clue on what we spend or how much that we have to spend. The fact you are actually advocating DCL as acceptable is laughable. DCL
  6. I agree, but we have done that with Isak, Bruno, Tonali, Botman and others. It’s not like we’ve only signed PL players.
  7. If the rules allowed it, I'm pretty sure they would have just done that.
  8. From all the players we had solid links to in the last year: Huijsen - Went to Real, can't begrudge anyone that Cunha - Cost a fortune and Man Utd are paying him a fuck load Mbeumo - Cost a fortune and Man Utd are going to pay him a fuck load Guehi - Palace demanded far more than what he's worth and player happy to stay, now likely headed to Liverpool, again, can't begrudge that move Pedro - Chelsea are paying him more and for longer, terrible footballing move but he's financially squared away for generations now I'm sure there's other examples that I'm missing but the common theme is that we seem to be fishing in the same pond as our competitors except they have a much better fishing rod and tastier bait. We're nowhere near the top of the footballing food chain yet, we need to be getting the guys mentioned above before they get their PL move. We share a league with the Super League 6, snapping up the best, ready made, midtable talent for premium prices is a battle we're never going to win
  9. Winning trophies and qualifying for the Champions League.
  10. Come and play for us we’re progressive, professional, perfect manager to progress your career nah ya alreet mate I’ve a 7 year contact to sit on Chelsea’s bench honestly man fro Moneyball
  11. Is it a failure every time a player goes somewhere apart from us? You would imagine good players often have options.
  12. You know what, after seeing Chelsea gave him a 7 year deal, it's clear we never stood a chance if we were even in for him at all and thankfully so if they were the terms he was demanding. Can anyone honestly see this guy being an active contributer to Chelsea in 2032? The cunt will be lucky to still have a squad number by 2027! I'm furious with myself for allowing myself to believe Lee Ryder because he was telling me the news I wanted to hear. He's a renowned charlatan churning out absolute bilge for a decrepid husk of a newspaper, we all should've known better. This is a reminded to us all not to take any bait from shitebags like Ryder, Hope, Waugh and least of all the bald nonce.
  13. we did ok without one. stavely led the negotiations, mind.
  14. Seen some of their fans already moaning that Delap isn't good enough and they need another striker
  15. Mind...Man United look like they have maybe one last roll of the dice before they drop.
  16. They would be aye, silly to post this from Maguire as the incoming chart is obviously much higher and it doesn't account for salaries.
  17. Jackson's face in that tweet man. So perfect
  18. Most disappointing part about this is how well his name fits to the opening line of La Isla Bonita
