Take your point about not forcing things too soon, if it is due to injury. In terms of age, though I can understand the frustrations (whether family, him or agent). For comparison, Lewis has had a similar England career up through the age groups as Jermaine Jenas. Except by the time JJ was 19 we’d paid big money for him and he had full England caps. You need the exposure/to be relied upon if you are going to show your worth and fulfil your potential.

No-one’s saying it’s straightforward. He might not be up to Pope’s standard with all aspects of his game at first but you have to trust Howe to make the call that his ability to play will offset any deficiencies. The nightmare scenario is obviously Onana but I trust Howe and I don’t think it’s likely.
-
They are definitely frustrated but it would be mental if you weren’t.

Be interesting to see how we handle Miley over the next few years. We don't really look to have much of a culture for youth development at the club. Young prospects are rarely given a proper chance here.
-
I just think he should be wary of forcing things too soon. I think they went with the right approach last season, not using him as much coming off that long injury. Don't want him breaking down all the time because too much was put on him from young. Anyway, I doubt much of this is true. Seems a bit much.
-
Assuming they mean in GK department, that Trafford is top of the priority list. Not that GK is the most important player for us to sign. Albeit that I do actually think it's incredibly important to get a new one in.
-
I don't think we can afford to loan him out. We practically know Long staff has no future and Willock is on dodgy ground as well. I do agree he was underused last season though.
-
Agreed but the gut feel of a lot of our fans is that Isak will go to a mega club on the continent next season - wouldn’t surprise me if he was Lewandowski’s replacement at Barca. Delap has a season bedding in and then becomes number 1 next season. His life, his choice and all that but I feel he’s made a daft one. Only time will back that up or not.
-
Like Pope. Hopefully you’re right but not sure it is so straightforward. Whilst this works for some teams there have been lots of instances where it hasn’t worked out so well. Always think the most important thing with a goalie is ……. Well how good he is at being a goalie (and obviously being good at poetry really helps too).
-
From conversations with the Miley family, they are definitely frustrated at his lack of game time (they express that pretty openly), but I massively doubt that they will want him to leave. The whole family are huge fans. I think it’s more likely that we see him sent out on loan if we sign another CM this summer.
-
Isak will be the stonewall first choice though. Like you're never starting over him in big games. There's a better chance for him to break through at Chelsea IMO.
-
If I’m Delap I’d prefer subbing in, playing with or starting instead of just Isak for then having to fight Jackson, Ekitike and whoever else those freaks sign by the end of the summer.
-
£100m plus Miley for Wharton and Guehi. Not that I want to lose Miley, but if he is agitating to go (dubious) then Wharton is a level above.
-
Not really upto speed on I it all but I did hear a bit on the radio, yesterday. Big kerfuffle about Frank Kirby then Millie Bright chucking the towel in but then, at the end, they said the manager hadn't picked them anyway. Sounds like a load of bollox, 😂
-
Not really, it’s called a squad.
-
That’s also bullshit. His agent is Danny Graham anyway and they all get on really well.
-
He would have been on the bench for you as well to be fair.
-
Some boy 😂
-
A lot of people are going to be pleasantly surprised when they see the difference a goal keeper playing out from the back makes to our team.
-
They can start the bidding at £70m plus Guehi.
-
That is utter bullshit
-
Chelsea in for Ekitike apparently. Enjoy the view from the bench Delap!

Miley had a good run in the side when Tonali was banned, Anderson was injured etc. He looked very good and he must certainly have a taste for first team action especially having played in the CL. I don't think it's beyond the realms of possibility that he's got a real thirst to play reguarly again whilst knowing he's nowhere near good enough to break up the Bruno, Tonali and Joelinton midfield unless there was a combination of injuries and suspensions again gets Miley back into the first XI.
