Top five moments in the last 15 years imo: 1. Carabao cup 2. Takeover 3. Pardew leaving 4. Jonas vs West Ham 5. 4-4 Fucking hell we've wasted our lives.
-
We were collectively a fucking shambles. The entire board was a support group with weekly hate watches. You can actually see color begin to return to the world in those pages. Think it's probably the third best moment in the last 15 years of the club.

The night we fell in love.

I must have seen this gif in excess of a 100 times and I still have no idea what he's trying to do

Pay them 40m if he shaves the bum fluff

James Trafford: NUFC in talks with Burnley over £30m transfer (SkySports)

Aye. Waiting for Keith Downer to be along with “talks ongoing, nothing imminent and clubs aren’t close on a fee”. -
Was more of a reply to the sarcastic poster saying real madrid would want him cos I asked if he was really good with his feet or coming for crosses etc
-
With hindsight I think quite a lot of us were depressed.

I don't think Burnley getting promoted should impact the price like. If anything they need the money less, and he's a season closer to the end of his contract. -
They will come out like blood hounds soon despite not really knowing anything/details. Might as well be quiet.
-
How is Alan Nixon still even relevant

Lack of other outlets following up this story makes me think it’s a case of Sky Sports repackaging ongoing interest as breaking news. -

I’m reserving judgment until I see a photo of his measured height on the family door jamb. -

We could have used a young Greek guy but it won't happen in the end, we'll have to let him go, he was rubbish. He was rubbish. -
Aye, if you've read any of my previous points around transfers/tactics, I've always maintained the most transformative signing for our first XI would be a ball playing keeper. I just hope we go into the new season with added depth of quality in central midfield and a cover striker. Willock/Longstaff/Wilson is not the answer for this season imo.
-
My guess is that we get him for 30m with 8 on top of that being different bonuses like qualifying for the CL or similar. Anything cheaper would be great.
-
See, I'm not as sold on him being England's number one or the fact that it would even mean anything other than we don't have loads of decent keeper options. He's yet to prove it at this level and also show his quality when not playing behind an ultra conservative team and defence. We often play quite an expansive and open game in comparison. But as I mentioned, the club have clearly been sweet on him for a while. They will have done far more extensive scouting than me watching the odd Burnley game or highlights It also is worth remembering he is very young, which I do keep forgetting somehow. So in theory, he should only improve from here.
-
I think you're paying that much for his future potential not just for his ability at the present.
-
Would be a huge improvement to us, a keeper with feet was near the top of my wanted list so I’m hopeful of this.

How much would a 20-22 year old English striker who'd scored 30 in the Championship last season cost? Could probably go 18-19 year old striker as a more appropriate comparison given how keepers tend to be at their peak slightly older. He's pretty much done the goalkeeping equivalent of that, anyway. -
In terms of maximizing our budget selling Pope to Leeds or somewhere makes a lot of sense. That puts a lot on Trafford though and carries risk. Will be interesting to see what we do.
