  2. Never know, he might get the Bayern job off the back of it...
  3. Such a stack of cunts are City. Now hoarding youngsters to palm off to other members of their football group. Them and Chelsea are football cancer.
  4. Same season I’m referring to. Tonali’s removal changed results and our defensive cover from a midfield perspective.
  5. Yep that’s the feeling I’ve got as well. Sounds like a very slow process tbh.
  6. Doubt that tbh, pretty sure i remember reading we focus on one at a time.
  7. Its better for them to get a good deal early so they can find a replacement.
  8. Isn't that what he tried to do with both Fulham and Bournemouth previously?
  9. If by 'effort' you mean multi browser/shared account details/continuous refreshing of resale etc, then I think those in the data room and box office are more likely to flag your account and suspend/ban you than give you any kind off accreditation.
  10. They won’t be doing that this season. Unless Parker is a fool just like Kompany.
  11. Yeh i'm not sure of the costs and valuations. But I don't think Palace will accept 50% out of desperation. That doesn't tend to happen anymore unless the player kicks up a fuss and Guehi won't for us. Therefore, I don't think a deal is that much easier to make this summer because of the contract situation unless we spend close to the asking price.
  12. They play it out from the back. That’s their style. So I’m not sure they see Pope as the right fit.
  13. I love Pope and he's given us a good few years outside of his injuries. But if we want to evolve our style of play then we need a 'keeper that doesn't shank the ball out of touch or to opposition defenders 90% of the time. If Howe sees Trafford as being that 'keeper then it's a priority position imo. I still think this was evidenced by Dubs's run this season. Obviously he's not better than Pope overall but I feel like we overall controlled games a lot better during that run than at other times of the season by virtue of having a 'keeper that didn't shit his keks with the ball at his feet, offsetting his shotstopping shortcomings. I also can't see how Pope sticks around if he's not #1 so I could see us recouping a bit from him moving on if we do get a 'keeper in.
  14. “Getting business done quickly” and not wanting to pay big fees don’t exactly go hand in hand unfortunately. There’s no incentive for the selling side to agree a low fee so early on in the summer. They’ll want to smoke out other bids. It’s why stingy teams like Tottenham tend to do their business so late in the window.
  15. I beg people to stop talking about transfers without considering wages and annual cost.
  16. I know these transfers seldom happen but using Pope in the move makes plenty sense to me.
  17. As long as we are capable of working on a few deals at the same time..
  18. This is one transfer where I don’t mind if it drags out. Hold out for the best deal possible I’d say.
  19. Sounds about right. Should probably avoid clicking this thread for a few weeks. It will get done, just probably take a while getting there.
  20. Straight swap for Pope so we can try and not spend any money for another window.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Well I am fine with that generally. But I said I think he is overcautious sometimes. I gave the example of keep starting Wilson over Osula when it has become pretty clear Wilson is spent now. I already said I don't think GK is a priority position for us anyway so I would be fine with Pope starting as no 1 next season.
  22. I think GK is one of those pressing areas and the sooner addressed the better.
