  1. Past hour
  2. Heard a rumour yesterday that his house in Darras is either up for, or about to be put up for sale. Looks like he's away.
  3. If we get JP that closes the door on Xavi Simons I guess... It was nice to dream
  4. Found this interesting from The Transfer Flow newsletter a couple of weeks ago. They took a look at some additional stats for Joao Pedro as he's a bit of a hybrid striker/attacking midfielder: Suggests that he's fairly unique as someone who both gives and receives a high amount of line-breaking passes in his position. Could really see it working with him playing just behind Isak and being the link between him and Sandro/Bruno
  5. Having Pedro would open up quite a few tactical options as well as allowing us to rotate. He could work in our existing 433, gives us the opportunity to play 4231 or go two up top. I can see why he’s such an attractive signing. He solves a lot of potential problems.
  6. And then you consider Trafford baiting presses and then hitting an accurate pass up field.. beautiful
  7. Gotta love how these threads have gone from ‘worrying’ to mass excitement in the last 24 hours
  8. Him leaving to get game time isn't what was weird and I think everyone knows that like.
  9. Aye, I have a feeling it’s a Ornstein agreement reached/Fab here we go kinda day.
  10. FWIW I wouldn’t make that first criticism, if a player has a contract they can do what they want. I don’t even think Dubs ‘shouldn’t’ done what he did, it’s up to him. But I don’t have to like him. TBF if it wasn’t Man U I probably would have reacted much. And because he moved to sit on someone else’s bench and have even less chance of starting games. But I never expected him to play for us again. If he’d gone somewhere to play it would’ve been different.
  11. I love takes like this. Whenever there is a player who fans want to get rid of who is hanging around (e.g. Sancho or Ryan Fraser in our case), he is castigated for not wanting to play football and only thinking about the money. Whenever it would be better for us to stay as backup but the player wants to leave so he can play first team football (e.g. Dubs), the player is castigated for not wanting to stay and fight for his place
  12. Thought van Nistelrooy had been peddled weeks ago
  13. That is all very well but that is not the way to share minutes around the squad to prevent fatigue and injury
  14. Reckon a medical will be mentioned by the COB today, either Pedro or Trafford.
  15. I can see 3 centre halves being used more as well (think away at Arsenal in the league).
  16. Nah, the people still talking about it now should tbh. Football is all about petty grievances around tribal lines. If a player ruffles feathers then fans should care rather than not. Down with this 'I don't care about anything because I'm just a chilled out dude' craic that comes predominantly from across the Atlantic and in reality just ends up with nothing being sacred and everything being sanitised and boring. Give me Dubravka's head.
