    Joe Willock

Yeah Joelinton's shoes are pretty big to fill, that's why I'm not that surprised that Howe turns to Willock. He might not have the phsyical presence, but he does cover the left flank pretty well. I think the 3 centre back/wing back combo is the next best thing with our current squad.
  3. I get the first part but not the second as football's role in the world doesn't bother any fans, what does that mean in reality? All you care about is your club. Look how many of us, myself included, welcome Saudi Ownership of our club.
  4. That's my aunty Doreen, loads of people mistake her for a man, she's receding a little, but does have a fanny!
  5. I always really liked our current badge, I now think it's the single greatest piece of design work ever produced in the history of mankind after seeing the ocean of abominations in this thread.

    Joe Willock

Our left centre mid role is quite a challenging role to play Joelinton dominates the whole left side of the pitch, high up and also tracking far back to support the left back. And he's a pretty good runner with the ball. And able to slot into a back 5, wing back etc when tactically required And he makes runs in behind / is a target for the long ball Prime Willock is better with the ball / attacking sense, but weaker defensively Don't think there's many like for like replacements, I like Ederson from Atlanta if we want more of the same, or Cunha if we want something different
  7. Cheaper than Mbeumo, but not Premier League proven. Might be worth the risk for the lower price?
  8. Hope said around £40 million release clause

    sunderland

I recognise the face of that dude in the middle who looked like he had makeup on during a recent photoshoot... otherwise, no idea
  10. How much is Gittens expected to go for?
  11. For all they're a Saudi affiliated sponsor, they have been pretty good as a sponsor
  12. Aye, was the local Tier 1 journo for San Sebastian at one of their regional papers who broke the actual transfer news, although I think confirmation from The Athletic and similar came within a couple of hours.
  13. This is absolutely fine, but I'd honestly be shocked if the club went to this length just to clean some blurry lines up. Most of us would barely bat an eye lid if they gave the lion an actual face if they're really canvassing support for that small a change it's no surprise we take an age doing owt, flip side is they're cautious when making a misstep which is good.
  14. Without opening the horror show that is the chronicle website. Isn’t this article based off what Simon Jordan said on talksport afew weeks back and the chronic plucking sunderlands name out of thin air?

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

True. I think Edwards (or one of the other local journos) had mentioned him previously, but it was a Spanish (or Swedish) guy who first said “it’s on”.
  16. I really like Gittens, he's tall, has explosive pace and loads of potential. He's more technical than Mbuemo but I'd say he's more of a risk coming from the Bundesliga. I trust in Eddie whichever way we go.
  17. Actually really looking forward to the obscene amount of Brazil Scout videos I'll watch this summer.
  18. again, if the club want to simply clean it up - ie: take the current crest and remove the blury details and additonal lines and even it up like that lad who did it on instagram that has been posted on the previous pages - perfect.
  19. I don’t even know what the other benefits are.
  20. Prior to the window "slamming open", can we all sort the most prominent journos into reliability tiers? For example: Tier 1 (Take it as gospel): Ornstien Tier 2 (Rarely misses): Romano Tier 3 (Sometimes maybe good, sometimes maybe shit): Hope, Waugh Tier 4 (Don't get your hopes up): Edwards Tier 5 (Burnsie): Burnsie Tier 6 (WUM, still more reliable than Burnsie): Frank Chippa
