Isak is our Haaland or Salah. Neither player gets ‘rotated’ to any meaningful degree. Isak is playing every CL game and 95% of PL games he is fit for.
-
Like I say, it depends on what you mean by peak. That's usually seen as 25 to 30 but it's position dependent and increasingly getting younger. Players in that age bracket though? Robben, Lukaku, Ibrahimovic, Eto'o, Sanchez, Suarez, Falcao, Cavani, Forlan, Hummels, Rakitic. Not saying it's common but it does happen.

You might be less staggered if you make fewer assumptions about what people are saying. I'm not questioning whether we need a 'second striker' (aka a back up...), I'm questioning whether we need to spend 60 mill on one. You may think we do, but there's no need to be staggered by someone having an alternate opinion. The fact is there are far, far cheaper alternatives. Are there many better than Joao Pedro? Probably not, but that doesn't automatically mean we should just go and blow half our budget on a (pardon my profanity) back up. Would be nice if people could have different opinions on here (and negative thoughts about our club in some areas) without those opinions staggering people.

Rashford did ok. Isco. It’s uncommon but not unheard of.
-
Not for the run in, he rotated well in games against West Ham, Everton, Southampton i remember off the top of my head. Played them together at times as well.
-
Coutinho and Rodriguez are two of similar moulds. When there’s a rich talent, you can drain the last bit out. A permanent move wouldn’t be wise, but loan is fine (it’s just injuries I’d worry about).
-
Please let him join Everton and be shite there instead.
-
Obvs it's all puuuuure speculation anyways but, fwiw, I don't really think he's shit like. As said, just went to Man City and got Pep'd An exciting dynamic winger/midfielder who should've gone on to play havoc, for any team, as a midfielder freed to "express himself" sent out to plod about playing tiki taki If Eddie wants him fair doos but I'd put my hard earned reputation on the line and say he doesn't 😉

Without googling, those seem like awful examples because most were young when they left big clubs and then did better. Not at a peak age.
-
Injury inspired or not, it showed that the workload can be split between two good strikers for the benefit of the side, and that’s only going to get more this season. Especially since we’re showing more that we will target domestic cups too and never write them off. Whether Pedro is the man or not, a £30m+ outlay on a striker feels inevitable.

So Jack's leaving Man City's bench to be a rotational player in a World Cup year at Newcastle? He'll want to start, not just come off the bench, he is not getting ahead of any of our forwards or CMs so what would be appealing to him to come here? Can only see him pulling a strop here. Best to stay well clear.

In their defence and i might be wrong but does it not point to what has been rumoured in here from bits people have heard that they’ve had a late change of mind on the size and have wisely realised that 65k wasn’t big enough so were re-doing the plans for a slightly different location to accommodate the bigger capacity after seeing the scenes at the parade?

Salah, Henry, KDB?, Robben, Shakiri?, Pique, Lukaku, Memphis Depay, Eto'o. For us Beardsley. Suppose it depends on what you define as peak, but there are a canny few players who've left big clubs they weren't getting a look in at and then gone on to shine. All depends on attitude I reckon. I'm in two minds about what Grealish would be like.

Callum Wilson: offered 'incentive-based' contract extension (Ornstein)
Likelylad replied to Strawberry's topic in Football
Wilson was getting on ahead of Osula which we could all see wasn’t the right decision. My worry, even with a pay as you play type deal is that would still be the case. -
That rotation was mostly injury inspired... We were extremely lucky that they kept timing their injuries just as the other was returning to fitness from a long layoff that season.
-
If you're looking anyone realistic from Man City it should be Oscar Bobb. Pace, technique and can beat a man. Can also play in the middle of the pitch. Would love him here.
-
When he said established stars, he actually meant players who are already on huge wages and at big clubs. I remember the question.
-
Taking everything with a massive pinch of salt like. Can only speak about the links hypothetically.
-
I'm a big Pedro fan, but we're leaking enquiries and targeting players with enormous asking prices. I'm becoming dubious.

Zunderland to retire the number 7 shirt in tribute to Jube Bellingham.

Callum Wilson: offered 'incentive-based' contract extension (Ornstein)

In what respect? -
I know where you're coming from but.... He's clearly not 'shit', he's just playing in an incredibly boring Manchester City side.
