I predict the Nissan overtime to start in September when they are rock bottom and been hammered a few times. They may sign a few good players but untried at this level and they still have a load of shit unless they replace 8 or 9

Chelsea. So that’s that one dead then. Why even bother when they are basically just allowed to stock pile players and rotate their entire starting 11 every transfer window. The premier leagues allowing their acrobatics in the accountancy department is pretty galling too. If we tried something similar there’d be a transfer limit imposed and forensic accountants dispatched within a week.

I'm half hoping they have a decentish start as their current odds on survival are shit.

That's the perfect summation of McClaren, I remember sticking up for him a fair bit, as he seemed a decent bloke, and you could see what he was trying to implement, he was just incredibly poor at doing that, and ultimately he was just out of his depth. I also think towards the end you could visibly see the stress on his face, that it made me feel a little sorry for him. Personally I don't include him at the same level as Bruce, Pardew and Carver, McClaren was a bit of a wet fart, where as the other three where full blown Nora virus, they all seemed vindictive and like they purposely chose to fight with the fans and showed them 0 respect, you didn't get that with Schteevve.

Maybe wrong but it's doing exactly what it was supposed to do. See also Champions league, PSR etc etc etc.

The Managerial Merry Go Round™ - Keith Andrews appointed at Brentford

Might have been a bit different if we'd managed to bring Cabaye back that summer when he was linked a bit before he went to Palace. I'm sure we went half a season with Anita & Colback as the double pivot though until Shelvey arrived. -
I actually like the black shield.

These cunts actually going to stay up?

Romano cheekily claiming this as an exclusive

Yeah, I remember being really encouraged after that draw against Southampton on the opening day, we looked good. It was away from home we got exposed a lot, we were just so soft-centred and lacked any kind of authority or ability to physically impose ourselves onto a game. 7 goals in 15 away games under SM and miraculously we won two of them - a late smash and grab at Spurs and at Bournemouth where we scored early and Rob Elliot randomly turned into Lev Yashin for the day.

They signed NDong from France for a record deal and he was dreadful

Aye, nailed it. Nut right about the first two games as well, there was some promise there. Evaporated seemingly in an instant though. The place was absolutely stinking again by the time Sheff Wed knocked us out of the cup at home.

With McClaren, you could at least see what he was trying to do with regards to a tactical plan and playing a more expansive game through the midfield, the execution was just unbelievably poor and the squad was a disinterested rabble of self-serving mercenaries with hearts the size of peas. By all accounts a great coach but lacking the personality and clout as a manager to get the team to execute his plan well enough. I do think the whole "grin and say we were magnificent even when we've just been thumped" thing was him trying to protect his players, but it just got old very fast. He was shit but he wasn't a cunt like Bruce, just a nice bloke miles out of his depth who rightly wouldn't have had any other PL job at that point.

Probably heard the massive lads fans were interested and thought they couldn't compete with them.
